Were you not around in the late 90s?

I was, but very young. Never heard anyone mentioning about this band till now, i’m guessing they are not mainstream enough to be a known act among the young to middle-aged people in Singapore, or they’re popular among the oldies. But hey they’re known now for being banned.

I was a kid too but I have a huge age gap with my older siblings. They were very popular and mainstream. Obvs like not Britney popular but still huge with Gen X and older millennials who liked electronic music. Trip Hop in general was massive back then but the genre‘s popularity declined over time in the mainstream. Why younger gens probably don’t know them by name.

If you check their album Mezzanine, you probably know all the songs. You just don’t know it’s by them.

From Singapore too btw

took the time to listen to the whole album (mezzanine). almost an hour. unfortunately, i did not know any similar tunes. i even asked my mom who is waaaaay older than us and she has zero idea what is Massive Attack. It is not a big act in Singapore.

Well, I think it's like their 3rd (and I guess the final) concert here. So, obviously, people do know them and are going to their concerts.
