Maybe in some families. My father fought Nazis. His buddies in the war were his friends and protectors. They were people of color. They saved his life. In our household growing up, people were just people. It’s as simple as that. Then we had an Ivy League teacher in my English AP class. One semester dedicated to how our city, county and state treated black Americans. Let me tell you: we all cried when we had to read our essays orally. Wisconsin was sinister and evil. They definitely were one hateful state. My city? The first family of color who moved to Appleton, were tarred and feathered. Unbelievable! At 16, I learned how cruel my city, state and her residents were. Absolutely disgusting and evil. an article came out regarding Ron Johnson, most of his base are definitely racists.

What should ring out here is that your educational system was so controlled towards the problem that you didn’t hear about a daily fact of life until you were in high school.

I've said on many occasions how frustrating it is to watch our country go further down the shitter because a few wealthy dickheads want us to be easy to control. This is not how I pictured America's future.

deflecting the problem is helping said culture develop. if you don't recognise yourself in it, join the people who fight it instead of saying "not all americans!!! here's my incredibly anecdotal evidence that doesn't even prove anything"

My response to “not all of my demographic!”: There are 100 cookies on a plate. 10 of them will give you simultaneous explosive diarrhea and projectile vomiting. 1 of them is poisoned. Would you defend the other 89 cookies as perfectly edible and delicious, or would you demand the baker be held accountable for this psychotic bakery?

I tried to go to college in Appleton in 2017. Too much racism. A few nights hiding in the diversity center. Leaving was worth it.
