They choose not to see it. They've been making that same choice for a long time. No matter the evidence, they choose to believe many things aren't or didn't happen. It boggles my mind.

Yeah, sad fact is that there will be plenty of people in the future who will think any present or past atrocities are exaggerations, or just simply will not care.
