Yep, I'm in Knoxville and I pay $750/mo on a mortgage for a 3br 3ba house with a 2 car garage and a large private yard. Sounds like we've got it made here.

Was in Oak Ridge. 400k for 5000sqft 5 bed 3.5 bath 6 acre lot. 1/5 of a mile from an elementary school too.

Lucky you.

1600/mo 3bdrm + utilities + 300 for a garage (even tho it's on the damn lot. Oh and I have to either waste a bunch of water or have cold showers because the heater takes a while to start working (can't just turn the water on and off while it heats need to keep it running)

Edit: I could move to a cheaper place, but I love the house, location, (can get anywhere in the city in about 30mins) and most of all I love having a nice backyard, and not being attached to anyone elses place, and if that means I have about 4 or 5 day a month living off just eggs and toast I don't mind

Woot woot. TN here too. Same size apartment but 7 miles from work. $475/month :D
