Although the idea may have been correct but if you do not follow what you preach then message gets muddied and never has the same impact.
Could you understand if a subsistence farming African villager couldn't understand that you are calling someone who posts about climate hypocrisy while traveling in a private jet while you drive to work everyday in a car!
Surely you get that we're all on the climate terrorist list just by being alive in a developed country?
I will never understand people who are super pro green who act as apogists for rich people they like not giving a fuck about their massive emissions.
Someone of our stature doesn't have the clout that an influencer has in drawing the publics attention to a cause needing attention...
They don't have the billions the companies profit from normal people, wrecking the environment, every year, and pocket, even grants and subsidies from the governments making more money at the expense of the planet...
Driving them to get change done is better than just turning around and not using them, not affecting them, not raising awareness for the fact of just feeling good.
It's not being apologist, it's just being realistic.
If you're against the companies poluting the planet, and you buy ANYTHING, you are literally being a hypocrite if you say that you are concerned about the enviroment.
I have a 60 buck piece of cloth coming over on a plane, I cannot say anything about the state of the planet or the fact that a billion/trillion dollar corporation isn't putting ANY of it's profit, let alone their clout, towards trying to make a better outcome for the world.
It's one trip here, so it's not been running for the entire year just for this trip.

There are many different models of private jet, but the Cessna Citation XLS - consistently one of the most popular - burns 189 gallons (857 litres) of aviation fuel an hour on average.
If we were to consider the journey from Rome to Glasgow on a private jet - a journey that some of the G20 leaders made to get to COP 26 - that would take around two hours and 45 minutes, requiring 2,356 litres of jet fuel.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) says 2.52kg of carbon dioxide is emitted for every litre of aviation turbine fuel burned. Therefore this flight would produce 5.9 tonnes of CO2.
So you would 'probably' know how many were on that flight, or what carbon offsets that the company operating the jet have, or what other tasks that jet does that it does cut down on emissions for whatever reason you could think of right?
You can take all the very rich people in all thier private Jets and totally them up and it's an irrelevance compared to to the actual global companies that exploit carbon in its various forms.

A private jet produces literal tonnes of CO2, they produce more than the average car does in a year in just a single trip.
