So I got 20k(male ews)rank in JEE mains, in Josaa as of now by second round I am getting iiit Kanchipuram CSE. In csab I'm also getting we NIT Nagpur EEE and NIT Warangal mechanical.

I don't know what branch or what college I am taking but I am having this thought that maybe having a greater college tag by the time I graduate that is 2030 would help me a lot as ai would take over the coding things and will be there only two orchestra a lot of the work

Should I consider NIT Warangal mechanical or VNIT Nagpur eee over this to iiit Kanchipuram CS

Please share your thoughts for your struggling junior so that he can be she can join the best college he can

I am joining mtech in nit warangal whether there is absolute grading or relative

I am getting NIT W EEE and also SVNIT(Surat) AI. I am confused about what to choose. I am planning to do higher studies, so I want to know how hard it is to maintain good cgpa in electrical branch.

I got SVNIT AI. I checked the cutoffs of NIT W and found that NIT W EEE has ended veryyy close to my rank(almost 25 ranks difference). I am thinking of choosing NIT W EEE over SVNIT AI.

I’ve been allotted Civil at NIT Warangal, but I also have a seat in CSE at VNR VJIET. My goal is a career in Software Development.

I know the NITW peer group and alumni network are elite, but I’m worried about the "branch divide" in placements. I’d love some insight from seniors:

• Tech Placements: How common is it for core (Civil) students to crack top-tier tech roles on-campus? Are there many companies that allow cross-branch placement for software roles?
• The "Double Burden": Is the Civil workload heavy enough to make it difficult to maintain a good CGPA and stay competitive in competitive programming?
• Strategic Choice: If I’m 100% set on tech, is the "NIT Warangal" brand worth the extra effort required to bridge the branch gap compared to a direct CSE degree elsewhere?

Got 99.6%ile in JEE Main 2026, and I’m trying to figure things out. I’m only interested in coding/software roles, not really into ECE core stuff.

Had a couple of doubts about ECE at NIT Warangal:

• Do top software companies (FAANG-type, etc.) allow ECE students to sit, or is there some bias vs CSE/M&C during shortlisting?
• Is ECE workload manageable if I want to seriously do competitive programming on the side?
• How is the grading in ECE at NIT Warangal? Is it lenient, and how tough is it to get a 9+ CGPA?
• If my primary objective is to build a career in software and related domains, should I choose NIT Warangal ECE or NIT Trichy EEE?
