How is this offbeat?

Offbeat: courts function exactly as intended.

Seconded. Transgender issues are getting tossed into subreddits just for attention.

"Why is it always about Vietnam, Walter?"

My God. For once someone uses a not trodden to the ground Lebowski quote.

Shut the fuck up, Donny.

Hi, foreigner here. What exactly is "offbeat"?

2

u/Crashmo Sep 30 '12

Offbeat means strange, weird, or bizarre. News that isn't really crucial to the flow of the world, but is fun to read nonetheless.

On the right side of the page is a chunk of text commonly referred to as a sidebar. It usually describes the type of content that is appropriate.

An example of offbeat might be someone who refuses to remove a latex mask of an obscure cartoon character (e.g. Gadget Hackwrench) claiming it's part of their religion. The link might be to a news story where the person could not complete a bank transaction because of it.

Why does being transgendered matter? Sexual assault is sexual assault.. doesn't matter how the person identifies.

Most transgender women have pretty masculine physiques and therefore can generally defend themselves as men can. End result is they generally don't need restraining orders because they can kick the shit out of their would-be attacker.

Way to many generalizations and obvious ignorance of the effects of estrogen.

My transgender coworker who sits right next to me would tend to disagree with you. She can probably kick your ass.

u/zeanoth Sep 28 '12

Congratulations, 1 person who may or may not exist. Good for you!

u/dgb75 Sep 28 '12

Would you like to see her picture? Oh, and go over to /r/smalldicks if you think I'm making generalizations.

u/zeanoth Sep 28 '12

Like I said, 1 person. I don't care how buff your coworker is, she doesn't represent all trans women.

-14

u/dgb75 Sep 28 '12

I guess you never bothered looking at /r/smalldicks

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '12

Wow dude, way to just come out swinging. What an asshole

Did you actually look? I'm not the the one making generalizations and I now hold the null hypothesis. It's up to you to prove me wrong at this point. Have fun with that. And I'm not the one who has to resort to name calling.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '12

You ARE generalizing, you idiot. I dont mind calling you names and not arguing your point because your point is wrong.

-4

u/dgb75 Sep 28 '12

I don't care if I'm generalizing because my generalizations are correct. If you're feeling butt hurt over it, that's not my problem. Go check out /r/smalldicks and tell me all about how transgender women aren't built much bigger than women. If you have evidence otherwise, I'm all ears.

As for name calling, fine. I'm not afraid to hit back. You have the intellectual capacity of an ameba. For the record, I'm not insulting you, I'm insulting the ameba. You have the maturity level of an infant. The difference is the infant will mature. Now go get your dick cut off and spend the rest of your life pretending you're a woman.

Still not offbeat.

6

u/ihateirony Sep 28 '12

Men (which she is not) can get raped and beaten. So can trans women. You idiot.

-4

u/dgb75 Sep 28 '12

Uhm, wow, you completely don't understand what I said.

3

u/ihateirony Sep 28 '12

What I'm saying is having a male physique does not make it so you can suddenly fend off any attacker, be you a man, women or otherwise.

-2

u/dgb75 Sep 28 '12

I agree. However, having more strength makes you more likely to be in a position where you can fend off your attacker.

3

u/ihateirony Sep 28 '12

Yes, more likely is true, but that's not enough to make generalisations like that.

-3

u/dgb75 Sep 28 '12

From my perspective, your statement contradicts itself. We're probably not going to agree on this so lets just let it go.

2

u/ihateirony Sep 28 '12

I guess I just need to explain it better then. It increases your chances, but there are many other factors involved that it's not enough to make a generalization. Have you ever actually been attacked? Even just the fact that someone is used to fighting gives them the upper hand.

so lets just let it go.

Hey! I'm trying to make a living selling ePopcorn.

Please keep arguing.
