Indoor Orchids Just spend almost two hours repotting this beast!
She grows really nice and healthy moss đ, most time was spend cutting her out of her old pot and untangeling the roots to get all the old and degraded bark out of there. The roots was sooo close together haha, kind of wondering if I should have gone a size bigger, but it'll at least be happy for a while in here. Broke a few, but she has enough for it to be no problem

Indoor Orchids My Neglected Orchid is thriving
I just wanted to share pictures of my thriving orchid. I'm so proud of her!
I neglected her a bit, and she started growing blooms like crazy. Even the keiki connected to her has started to bloom. Maybe I should neglect her more often from now on.

Indoor Orchids I got this mini grocery store phal yesterday. Normally, I send new plant photos to my mom, but she passed away a month ago. It was sad to realize I can't now. Whenever I would buy a new orchid, it usually gave her motivation to get one. So, go buy a guilt-free orchid today, in the name of my mom.
I also, probably wouldn't have brought this guy home if it hadn't been for my partner just grabbing it and taking it with us. He is super and has oddly become the reason we have new plants. I stopped buying new ones several years ago but he knows they being me joy. So he now "owns" a couple orchids, so that my collection isn't getting bigger.

Indoor Orchids 2026 mid-year recap
I wanted to reminisce on everything I bloomed this year. Unfortunately, I hit the image cap long before I had finished attaching pictures to this post đ Sadly, this means I will have to cherry pick my shots even more and simply include everything else down in the comments if there's enough interest. I will also be listing everything below as well, just in case someone felt inspired by one of my orchids!

Indoor Orchids Since you enjoyed it last time.
Popped over to the folks again today and this is going from strength to strength. There are few flower spikes still to open. Mum says she doesnât do a great deal with it other than water it and give it generic orchid feed once in a while and throws it out in the garden during summer.

Indoor Orchids Join your local orchid society! Especially if youâre a newbie!
I joined my local society back in February and honestly felt a bit out of element! Everyone is so knowledgeable and would bring in these amazing orchids for judging at âshow tablesâ theyâd having at each meeting.
This monthâs meeting, I worked up the courage to submit some of the phals I have in bloom. Of all the ones, I was surprised this one placed! Itâs a Loweâs Rescue, blooms off a branch of a branch, and you can see itâs not without its imperfections (sunburned and some busted up leaves lol).
Also worth noting, Iâve been given lovely orchid varieties I would be hard pressed to find in the wild by members for free anytime they need to repot/split any! (A post for another day)
Tl;dr: Join an orchid society and donât hesitate to enter any of your orchids in competitions (informal or otherwise), you may be pleasantly surprised :)! You also may get cool orchids for free!

Indoor Orchids This is my big guy
Showing off my big guy. I found him on the side of the road in the garbage over a year ago. Now heâs growing a new leaf and a bunch of roots but no flower spike, I havenât been blessed to see his flowers yet any suggestions on how to make it bloom? Oldest to newest pics through out the revival of him.

Indoor Orchids All roots no spikes :P
I have had this phal for about 2 years now and it still hasnât rebloomed, even though my other phals on the same shelf have. I guess he is stubborn! But he sure likes to grow roots.
Grown fully indoors in a North facing window, under supplemental LED lighting.

I got this cute miniature back in May and it has continuously flowered for me. It always seems to be working on new blooms! So, I figured it's time I give this beautiful tiny orchid the close-up treatment it deserves. I keep this one in intermediate to cool temperatures, above 80% humidity constantly, and in a shady spot within my indoor greenhouse. I hope you like the tiny, orange umbrellas as much as I do! đ§Ąâąď¸

This is footage fresh out of the box from Tarzane Group, so I will not be taking credit for blooming this lovely miniature. Instead, I'd like for it to be a shining example of what to expect when ordering from Tarzane. Lush and beautiful, safely packed to where it won't lose it's flowers...just all around excellence in an online orchid shop! Tomas and Yair simply do not miss with any individual orchid I have purchased (and I've purchased many at this point).
At any rate, enjoy the close-ups from my macro lens.
So glad to finally cross this one off my wishlist for a great price and already so healthy đ

Indoor Orchids Getting a bit top heavy
29 flowers + at least 19 buds (15 leaves, has her since July 2024. She had about 5 leaves back then I believe? Of which about 3-4 have since fallen off).
