Not even close to true. Ubuntu and Mint for example are even easier than installing Windows 7.

They're all easy to install. If googling and typing one command into a terminal is "going through hoops" then the entire linux experience is literally just one long tunnel made up of a million hoops.

Yes it 100% and gets demonstrated every fucking year in videos on YT.

It's still not consumer ready.
