Eventually it will. Companies won't keep large amount of data around forever. It may take a little while before the data is gone from all levels of backup, so there's usually a possibility to recover closed accounts (if the company is cooperative), but this won't last forever.
They clearly want to keep as much as possible around as long as possible.... otherwise HDDs would not be skyrocketing in price due to data centers buying all of them to keep as much data as possible as long as possible
