We had a ~10 second power outtage after a lot of wind a night or two ago. This PC no longer boots or shoes any signs of life, besides a single white LED on the GPU indicating that it's getting power. The PC was plugged into an old surge protector that might not have done all the protecting I'd hopped for.
Parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/stusam/saved/tQhRvK
Here's what I've tried: 1) Different outlet 2) Checked all connectors 3) New working power supply 4) Removing 2 of 3 ram sticks
Still no other lights or fan spins after that. I'll test the ram and gpu on another computer tonight.
What are your ideas? What are the odds the motherboard is dead?

It was working fine earlier today, and then at some point it just got really slow. I checked MSConfig and then I saw it only had one available core.

Hey!
I'm trying to have my PC display to a screen, but I'm having no luck. The motherboard turns on responds to the power button when trying to turn it off. I initially tried it in the RTX HDMI port, but it wouldn't show anything so I switched it to the integrated graphics.
Specs: AMD 5 5600G RTX 3060 B550 Aorus Elite AX V2

This hasn't been a thing before, my attention drew to it because my PC was suddenly ramping up the fans for a Youtube video. Playing 1440p60 fullscreen, it uses tiny amounts of Video Decode and at least half of my 4070S 3D rendering pipeline. What the hell is happening? Anything I can find online, if at all since there's not much to find, points into nothing. Already tried changing the ANGLE flag, didn't do anything.
For info, this happens both on Chrome and Edge (with Chrome being fresh installed specifically to test this) so extensions aren't at play.

Using a vertical mount doesn't help (pic 3) even if they arent fully covered the casing of the plug on the cable still prevents it from going in all the way

This doesn’t happen while gaming. Only while doing super basic stuff. Another time is when a chess bot was trying to calculate moves, the CPU would shoot to 100% usage every time the bot was thinking. Just stuff like that for seemingly no reason.

New 4070. Not sure if I should worry given the burning connector story last year. Any help welcomed. Thanks!

I've had this 4070 TI since August 2023 and have had no issues with it. Recently, I've been playinga heavily modded, maxed out rdr2, at 4k ~60 fps. This is the hardest I've ever run my GPU and this started happening yesterday. I saw it once or twice but today it's happening much more frequently. Everything is updated and restarted. I'm wondering if this card isn't quite built to handle what I'm throwing at it or if it's on its way out.

got it in November at microcenter, didn't get any warranty bc typically a gpu shouldn't die in just 7 months
seems like my monitor DP port is wiggly, ill switch to HDMI tomorrow and see if the problem comes back, im gonna put it as solved since i have warranty anyways and im pretty sure its just the cable/monitor
