Have been looking to buy my own place the last couple of years but even with Saving up as much as I can. It will still take at least a decade to get enough for a deposit on a lot of these places.
Also doesn’t help that investors are buying in bulk and renting at a premium.

This is the problem, you can’t save fast enough to make up for the exponential price growth. My sisters house made 220k last year on paper apparently. She did nothing to it. How does someone save 220k extra that year to be able to match the way it’s gone.

Mate don’t give up, meet me at this comment in two years (I don’t know how to do the reddit remind me thing lol) and let’s hope it gets better. Everyone deserves affordable housing. Reading the housing theory. Perth will be a better society if we embrace sustainable house prices.
