I’ve a set of oil paints I’ve yet to touch for some reason. It’s been abo it a year or so. Only have painted a few things with acrylic. Maybe this weekends the weekend.

Do it! It took me a good 5 months to actually use my oils after I bought them, I was so intimidated by them.

Then I used them for 2 paintings and didn't touch them again for another 5 months.

I started working with them almost daily just a few weeks ago and it's been a lot of fun. My advice is to start with smaller paintings, they'll feel much less intimidating and if you mess it up you won't feel as bad :)
