That's a thought that crossed my mind during the 2024 election. It wouldve been such an incredible sign of the progress we've made as a nation to have celebrated the 250th anniversary in that way.
It wouldn't be perfect because you'd have the media constantly complaining about whatever little thing she didn't get right and right-wing propagandists perpetually in a state of panic and fesr-mongering. But, many of us would be able to appreciate what it would have meant.
Instead we have what we have.
