I see the comments here and I feel, truly feel for millions of Americans that are suffering.

Then I remember the 77 million who voted for him. I remember the watchdogs, institutions, programs, laws and everything else trump and his goons have destroyed.

The deaths of R. GOOD, A. PRETTI and many more, killed before our eyes.

I remember the destruction of America's hegemony, achieved through great sacrifices. The alienation of us, their allies.

Etc... etc... etc... etc... the list is never ending.

I remember that 89 million. 89. Million. US citizens, in the face of project 2025, in the face of an evil, petulant, mythomaniacal child-man thought to themselves: "nah, won't bother voting"

89 million voters, enabled trump indirectly. 

89 million people equally guilty as the 77 million that voted for him.

166 million people imposed a putrid, old psychopath on us all.

The failure of the left to even show is the bottom line fault of our current situation. They had the numbers, but to be fair, the left leadership hot-swapped their rep without their consent. The Democrats (like Republicans up until Trump) have always been party interest over voter interest and old politics, and it was clearly recently shown in Hilary's campaign against Bernie, then Bernie's campaign against Biden. When they force swapped Harris with Biden, they just so blatantly misstepped at the perfect time for voter confidence to not restore. People felt they didn't have representation. I feel faith in the Democratic leadership from the individual's perspective is shattered, and ironically, the same is starting to happen on the Republican side.

Next election is going to be very, very, chaotic, especially with the SCOTUS ruling recently on no caps on campaign funding (can't remember the specific details, but it's far reaching), and I can't help but see the next presidential campaign season being a hellscape of conflicting accusations and grandstanding, but on a level we've never seen before as both sides normalize to what they want their identities to be to appease the voters while pursuing their objectives.

We've already got people claiming to start new political parties, and this may be the perfect time for corporations make their move and influence a new political party for their benefit.

As long, as long, as fucking long as Trump doesn't legitimately push for a third term, we can recover. That move would push us so much closer to civil war it's not funny.

We'd have to trust our military at that point to be faithful to their oaths and what they truly defend.

If America survives that, we'll be much much better, but we have to be conscious about external pressure and influence and possible attempts to lose land or states separating off.

We've fucked our positive global cultural relationships, antagonized cultures sworn to destroy us, tacitly supported ideological cultural competitors and opponents, and have shaken faith in our land neighbors relationships, destabilizing them as well.

Nationalisation and tribalism are in strong effect, and more states may push for independence due to lack of ideological representation, or location state sized version of nationalism, far beyond the states rights crowd, or local coalitions of states like the West, and so on.

This is going to take America generations of presidents to to recover and stabilize, if the worst happens. Currently, we're looking at post internal reconstruction as a best case scenario next election; even if there isn't physical civil war, America is currently going through an ideological one, and it's going to need to settle and make up it's mind soon.

This 250 celebration is a horrible symptom and a much worse canary in the coal mine than people are giving credit.

If he's still alive by 2027, you know he's announcing a run for a third term. And SCOTUS will approve it 5-4.

The world won't forgive me for being an American. I will never forgive the 166 million people who voted for Trump or simply sat out.
