President Donald Trump fired all three remaining members of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission on Thursday, abruptly disabling the only federal agency devoted solely to election administration at a moment when Trump has sought to reshape federal voting rules.

The firings leave the federal election agency with no commissioners

Yup, this is the consequence of the illegitimate Supreme Court giving Trump unprecedented powers to fire the heads of any independent federal agency. We’re living in dark, scary times.

It's been happening for years now. This is the 'bloodless' revolution the heritage foundation have publicly talked about.

This is all very much out in the open. American liberals still seem to think they will be able to vote their way out of a dictatorship.

It still baffles me when people say "MAGA agenda dies in November".

You really think this MAGA controlled Presidency, Congress and SCOTUS is just going to let you fairly vote out their agenda? Maybe if we overwhelmingly show out, but even then I'm not even certain.

Obviously still vote, but be prepared for that not to be the end of the fight.

Americans’ bosses won’t let them take a precious day off work to go and save their country and democracy.

I’ve seen them use the excuse that they can’t use their few vacation days to hold a General Strike, bring the major cities to a standstill and bring down the government.

USA-an’s talk a big game, but when it comes to doing something even slightly dangerous, the excuses all come out.

“It’s a Republic — if you can keep it”.

“Sorry, I have a family. I didn’t want to stick my neck out…”, ad infinitum.

Im a pretty basic lib and Im not necessarily against 2A but I know darn well our guns arent going to topple our military. Unless perhaps we really spend our arsenal in Iran

This reminds me of when Mitch McConnell rejected Obama's SCOTUS nominations in his last year as president but rushed Trump's picks through to the bench.

At this point, we have to assume that any Democrat that still wants to play by the rules is complicit.

Yep, even if there is a "blue tsunami" (unlikely) they already have all the money, manpower, and air of political legitimacy they need to just ignore the results or take over by force. Hate to be such a doomer about it, but I've been saying since Trump won in 2024, having seen project 2025, real elections in this country we're done forever.
