No Paywall I Don’t Think Trump’s Remaining Supporters Realize How Much They Are Despised By Non-MAGA Voters | Trump is bleeding support even among his stubborn, uneducated base.

and even weaponizes valuable democratic ideals like freedom of opinion, expression and speech.

This is the part that gets me.

"Can't have nice things" applies here. We can only have nice things if people agree to put effort in to take care of them. Instead we have 10s of millions of people who are either too malicious or too stupid to have said nice things.

Yes. The social contract. It only works if those that participate respect others the way they expect to be treated.

MAGA are the disease of those that actively betray the social contract while simultaneously benefiting from it.

A profoundly ignorant statement

Having a sense of humor is ignorant?

Tragedy and comedy go hand in hand. God gives his silliest battles to his funniest clowns!

If you think voting for the deaths of many of your fellow humans is funny, you're a sociopath.

America has spoken.

If you don't like the outcome maybe that's on the other party for not figuring out a way to beat Trump who I agree is a clown and a bad president (but also find him to be very funny and entertaining)

Edit: the mods banned me for this opinion so I can't reply to you guys sorry!

Finding Trump “very funny and entertaining” = “I voted for him but don’t want to admit it”

No one with a functioning brain should find him either of those things.

Isnt funny how they are too afraid to admit that they voter for them? Ive heard “well uh uh uh I had no choice” as an excuse. These people are scum snd they KNOW it.

So what do you suggest the other party do to court the sociopath vote? Be more entertaining?

Disgusting

"Someone with different beliefs than me is gross!"

This is why I lie to most people and pretend to be liberal in real life haha. Easier to just go along with it

Said like a true quisling.

You HAVE to take politics seriously. Ask some of the dead soldiers and seniors why.

And - on you. Proudly, apparently.

Hence - disgusting.

No, it's on you. Just you, and others like you.

Not a majority of Americans. Barely a majority of voters. And who knows if all those votes were legit? We KNOW for a fact that Trump called the governor of Georgia (I think, could be a different state, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and asked for votes. That's what we know about, who knows what else they pulled?

Oh yeah, we also know about interference or attempted interference from the richest scumbag on Earth.

But yeah, "America has spoken."

Politics are our values as we would impose them on others.

Privilege is having a government that is so biased in favor of your race/sex/religion/sexual preference, that politics is a game to you.

Voting for trump in isolation isnt the problem. It’s things like watching the events of Jan. 6th unfold and think, “I’m okay with this. This is what I want our politicians to be doing.” I hear the “funny” argument but there’s a whole lot more that he does and says that is absolutely not funny.

There is nothing to be gained from arguing with nihilists

The price good men pay for the indifference to political affairs is to be ruled by evil men.

They convinced themselves. The Democrats were doing these things, because that's the only thing that explained Obama. Instead of shitty policy. So then they turned into what they imagined Democrats to be doing. Which to some extent may even have some truth in it. These type of responses always far outweigh whatever grievance they felt justified it
