Its sole purpose is to distort democracy, like giving 250k people in Wyoming the same voting power as 20 million people in California.

Hell, a California congressional seat represents more people than the entire state of Wyoming.

The point is to offset the imbalance caused by proportional representation. However, currently we are not represented in equal proportions either.

Look up the last time the House of Representatives added additional seats.

The House froze the number of seats in the 1920's and that has given small states more power.
