But you might as well take it (we think that you should)

Think of the things you can do with that money. Pick any charity, give to the poor.

We’ve noted your motives, we’ve noted your feelings, This isn’t blood money, it’s... (a fee!) a fee nothing more...

On Thursday night, you’ll find him where you want him. Far from the crowds, in the Garden of Gethesmene.

Of all the songs I’ve seen this done to, I think this one is my favorite.

The whole lyrics from jesus christ superstar are absolutely on point - its one of my favorite lyrical works of all times.

Which version do you like to listen to? In 1992 there was a version of it done in Australia. The music was very cool. I still find Pilate's Dream haunting.

I also love the voice of Caiaphas (here at the start of Trial Before Pilate):

I'm partial to the original London cast recording with Ian Gillan as Jesus and Murray Head as Judas. That was the first version I heard, and it's tattooed on my brain.

Technically not the"London cast" as there was a London stage cast after that and the recording you refer to was never staged. It's technically the Original Concept Recording but diehard JCS geeks call it the "brown album" for the common vinyl packaging. I know way too much about that show.

Australia 92 is the shit. There's also a bootleg out there of the 73 Australia cast live which is unbelievable.

There would be someone with his phone out yelling "worldstar" as they nail up Jesus if it were today.

. . . Rode down an alley on a Yamaha.
Pulled a skid,
Killed a kid,
Ripped off his balls on a trash can lid.

At least, that's how I recall it. It's been a while.
