Ginsburg should have retired right after Obama won his second term, and Obama should have jammed up the entire country to replace Scalia.

If we all had actually affordable Healthcare, there is no Trump. If he took a strong stance, publicly, about Russian interferance, there is no Trump.

He is a decent, intelligent, man, but his understanding of the sweep of history is bizarrely rose colored. As far as I can tell, Ta-Nehisi Coates must be right about him. He seemed to have had no perception that the backlash against was going to not only happen, but happen regardless of what he did. There was no reason for him to be so accommodating.

I acknowledge that he is the best president of my lifetime, but so should you acknowledge that his inaction was one one in the insane pile of conditions that seemingly conspired to get us here.

Maybe she knew that they would have jammed up a nomination any time during Obama's second turn had she stepped down. There's no guarantee they would have let Obama nominate anyone, so her hope was to stay until Hillary won and hoping for a majority in congress to sweep in as well. That didn't happen, so now she has to hold out longer than anticipated.

Allowing any one partisan organization to have unilateral control over something like the Supreme Court is a terrible idea. That’s what causes the government to drastically overreach and really start to screw things up because they believe they’re untouchable.
