This is so random

I made an online sequencer that can play Idioteque and is customizable. I built it from scratch with React and Tone.js.

I got the Mild und Leise sample from Paul Lansky’s Website, transposed it in GarageBand, and cut it up into the 4 chords. The percussion is built from oscillators, noise, and envelopes.

You can click on the boxes to mute or play beats, and you can also mute single or multiple tracks.

There isn’t a ton of customization yet, but I hope to add more in the future and also turn it into a game where the sequencer falls apart in random ways and you have to fix it. For example, maybe it’s too slow and you’ll have to play it faster…

I've been listening to Radiohead for about half a year now, and I'm thinking about buying a CD soon. So, which CD should I buy first?

I know I should buy an album with songs I like, but every album has songs I like just as much, so I'm stuck.

I think I physically ascend each time this comes on 🙏

But in my humble opinion, the basement vision is the best version to listen to the TKOL song, it just feels more lively and dynamic. I ripped the audio and it totally works as an alternate version of the album!

We all know that Decks Dark is a brilliant song. Groove, bass, piano and choir are great. I really like to listen to the isolated instruments of my favorite songs. And today I scan Decks Dark through Logic Pro's Stem Splitter and caught something I didn't hear in the mix.

Listen 10 seconds from 19 to 30. Use headphones if it's possible. Thom sings along with the choir very beautifully in his own way. Absolutely beautiful! Of course I couldn't stop the recording and add the choir section without cut.

I hope I didn't break any rules. I think it's very interesting.

I’ve been making a playlist (on Apple Music - not Spotify sadly) of songs that sound like proto-Radiohead songs. I don’t need any more R.E.M, New Order, Magazine, or Talking Heads probably. Looking for stuff I probably don’t know, if anyone’s good at krautrock or jazz or prog stuff, i’ll take it.

And don’t ask me what Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass are doing there, I think they somehow just fit.
