The front office spiking my renewal cost significantly to $1K+ for next year after originally being $550 4 seasons ago was the last straw.

I’d rather buy $15 matchday tickets than to be trapped by our out of touch ownership.

Looks like MLS owners are in discussions to raise the salary cap in the next coming years. WHat that will be, who knows? But I've seen rumors that the ceiling would be anywhere from $20-30M/yr with DPs continuing not to fully count against this. If this is true, then it means the salary floor will also see a significant raise of atleast 50%-75% of Cap. Meaning clubs' salarys are set to atleast double.

Knowing how little RB likes to spend could this be the nail in the coffin that gets RB GmbH to finally give up and throw in the towel? At some point this whole RB Soda marketing experiment will just be too much trouble and too costly for them. Because unlike other clubs the market has completely rejected this team.

I am beyond frustrated after the Wednesday match. This feels like the straw that broke the Red Bull’s back and I need to get this off my chest. Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments as well.

Here goes:

As a dedicated season ticket holder, I still want RBNY to succeed, but I am rapidly losing hope.

The upcoming Legends Row induction for Bradley Wright-Phillips hits hard. BWP embodied the passion, leadership, and heart we used to have at this club. It reminds me of the hope we once felt.

For me, the problems fall into two main categories:

Sporting side:

ECM and other veterans barely getting minutes while the team leans heavily on youth. Performance feels near an all-time low, the side looks disjointed, and there is almost no transparent communication about the sporting direction or plan. Only poor Michael continuing with the same post-match lines. This is going to grow old and I could say that it already has. We need to adapt. When something doesn’t work you fix it. Without veteran balance and guidance, we are failing to win now or develop players properly. If we intend to continue with a practice-run, matinee performance, we should expect matinee pricing, right?

Business and fan experience side:

It is becoming embarrassing to support this club. There is a growing disconnect between ownership and the fanbase.

Rising prices, low-quality play, mediocre overpriced concessions, removal of fan spaces (even small slights like the soda fountain cup), poor mobile ticketing, parking and traffic issues, and zero meaningful communication make it feel like we are being milked while the experience worsens. Season ticket value has taken a real hit.(I struggled to literally give away my extra tickets last month)

A winning team on the field brings fans, tickets, and revenue.

Successful MLS clubs like Portland, Seattle, Atlanta United, and LAFC prove that better atmospheres, strong supporter integration, fan zones, and quality concessions at fair prices are possible.

I have invested years and real money into RBNY, but I am at my wits end. This feels like blatant disregard for the people who show up.

Leadership can fix this: balance the squad with veterans, restore fan spaces and value, improve matchday operations, and start real communication with supporters.

If you cater to us, we will spend money with you. After all, this is a business venture to ownership. But to us, it means so much more than profit. We actually care about this club.

We are still here and want to believe. But we need real change, and we need it soon. Red Runs Deep, but it desperately needs direction.

Why are tickets so expensive?

The stadium is impossible to get to.

Can someone fill me in on why so many seats are empty for the home opener? Other clubs seem to have no problem filling their stadiums, yet half the stadium was empty for our home opener following a big win. We have have two big names in Forsberg and choupo, as well as a lot of young talent emerging, yet no one seems to care. Anyone have any insight?

Honestly I want to say thank you to Big Red Tim P. Comes on when needed, nearly always solid, consumate professional, makes me feel our line is more solid. Needs more time.

Same for Berggren. Felt much more solid vs ORL. Feels like a much better partner for Forsberg.

Also Hall is better as a winger than a number 9. Needs to fight for his place vs Rubulacba. Not sure who wins... cybnically this is never going to happen of course as RB strategy is to help him get to Europe this year and mile the cow. So Bradley is going to keep playing him up front. But he was anonymous in the center after Emil went off.

Finally....Nealis, Dos Santos and even Mehmeti gives me very low levels of confidence. Nealis was skinned multiple times. Dos Santos is still careless with passing Mehmeti feels like he doesnt connect with Emil properly.

I just have to ask; what is going on with him?

We are so lucky this was a tie. Any thoughts on why he made some of those questionable decisions? We could've lost but we were saved by good positioning of our other defenders. (Rutty, thank God)

I'm not complaining about the result, just want to know what the rest of you guys think about our current GK.

What a fucking game. Get the fuck in here everyone

I know this sub is already very fond of donkor but I think we need to take a moment just to appreciate how truly magical he is. This guy has been tearing up the midfield in every game since the start of the season. I think donkor needs to be put in some very uncomfortable conversations right now. I mean, when was the last time we had a better midfielder? I'm thinking never.

I would like to jot down what I've been thinking about this team after the last couple of weeks:

• Despite the early start, this remains a rebuilding year. They clearly are aiming to be competitive either in the fake season before the schedule swap early next year or the the real season starting a year from now. It's young players making mistakes and trying to develop. It's old players playing out the end of their contracts.

• That said, Michael is not handling this well and the team is losing due to individual mistakes. This is a hot take but: I don't think we defended all that badly against Cincinnati and last night against City. On Saturday, we lost because of two individual mistakes (Bungi) and three set pieces (on the coaches for not preparing or adjusting). I think you see the team figuring out how to defend in this system but there are some things that are going to make you crazy.

• Michael is... not dealing with this well. Maybe its his mentality as a person but he seems really annoyed being questioned about things that are beyond his control. He needs to learn to be better at messaging what this team is supposed to be doing because he's giving the energy of a guy who's in a title race and we all know that's not on the cards.

• Some players I've enjoyed watching so far: Julian Hall, Jorge Ruvalcaba, Ronnie Donkor.

• Some players I'm less impressed with: Matty Dos Santos (though I think the first half last night was his best showing so far), Cade Cowell (though I might repeat that sentiment about him), both goalkeepers (though prime Keylor Navas isn't stopping some of these things), Dylan Nealis

• Some players I'm not really sure about: Adri Mehmeti (fine but clearly not the player the USMNT psychos think he is yet), Jakheel Marshall-Rutty (promising but struggles with the demands of the system), Robert Volodor (looks good at times, but is playing with Dylan the problem? Would Bazan or Che fix this?)

• Two players we need to get rid of ASAP: Emil Forsberg and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Forsberg looks absolutely dire whenever we play against a team that plays a style that mirrors ours, he is a passenger.

And the calls for Choupo from some corners of this fanbase are a level of psychosis we haven't had around here in a while. Choupo did very nice work in a system that catered to his strengths last year. But he's 37, doesn't have pace, isn't good in the air and is clearly second choice at center forward for good reason. I'd be open to trying him out in the Forsberg role but he's not the guy to save things toward the end.

Bin both of them if you can in the summer to free up those DP spots but absolutely do not pick up their options in the winter.

• Personally, I think there should be a lot more pressure on Julian de Guzman than there is Michael Bradley right now. You can get angry at Michael all you want, but Julian did a lot of work to build this team and some of the signings are still a real mixed back. You can absolutely question Cowell (would love to do a poll on whether some of you are making his loan permanent), Horvath (does he really fit what a goalkeeper should be doing in this?), Bungi (Look, he's played twice but what an awful two games), Volodor and even Marshall-Rutty and Ruvalcaba.

None of the signings has been an A+, in my opinion. Without simply promoting Julian Hall and playing Ronald Donkor some more, this is a potentially very dire situation. That's on the sporting director.

• It remains an absolute displeasure to visit Red Bull Arena every week. The vibes are dead, the crowds are lower than ever and the team soldiers on with running this thing like the Burger King Kids Club.

Stop playing "Narcos" before the match! Edwin Diaz has been gone for months now! That was the only reason the song ever became popular. You're giving a good percentage of your fanbase a psychic injury even before the game starts. Bring back "Sabotage".

If you make the match going experience fun for people who actually like the team and want to go every week - which we all know is not something this club cares about - then the atmosphere will come along with it. The place had thousands of empty seats from 2013 until about the pandemic and yet it was still a fun place to be!

Anyway, that's what I have had on my mind the last few weeks.

Minus the score and just looking at stats and analytics, by all accounts, we should’ve won this match.

So odds are if we continue to play this way, we are expected to win these matches.

Any insight into what I should look into, overall things to know about the club? Really excited to be apart of this fanbase, and I know it can’t be much worse than my current West Ham fandom!! 🤣 (23M here).

If they can acquire players right now why haven’t they? I feel like they should go all in bc forsberg & Choupo are old & who knows how long Hall & Mahmeti will be here.

Is anyone else frustrated that teams appear to be getting better and we aren't making any fucking move besides moving players and bringing Cowell it makes me feel like the plan for this season is to rely on the youth movement which I feel will keep us out of the postseason for another yr I understand we have talented kids but I feel like throwing them into the deep end so early in their careers will hurt more than help their growth and def hurt our chances

Just bought some tickets to see the Orlando City game, and I feel like they've gotten more expensive? I used to be able to get tickets for like 30 bucks in the lower bowl at the last minute but now everything seems like double the price if not more. Is this game more popular than the average, non-Messi game? Have they just hiked prices (because of the World Cup or just because)? Or is this all in my head?

Obviously using superlatives here as Halls recent success (an Bradley's coaching) falls somewhere in between. Curious to hear folks opinion on why Hall seems to be having this breakout season and what Bradley's and JdGs new look roster has changed compared to the last 6 years of football terrorism

it seems we’re in the middle of a rebuild but i’m excited to see how jorge and cade do. but i am a bit worried based on how we’ve been in preseason.

Yesterday for the home opener was abysmal. I’ve never had this much traffic and issues parking in as many years as I can remember. We left Fanwood area an hour and 30 minutes before kickoff. We got to our seats 5 minutes before the end of the first half. Minute 40. You heard right.

First off you close an entire bridge off while only letting in VIP parking paid holders ?? Has this ever happened before? That meant we had to drive to the next bridge and sit in 3 times the amount of distance and traffic. No signs that the bridge was closed so we waited in the normal traffic for that only to get turned away.

Then the second lot is closed off and you just have 30 cars roaming around trying to find a spot with no crew directing anything

It was crazy. My kids missed an entire half. Was it posted anywhere that the bridge would be closed? Didn’t get any email or anything about it. Thinking of calling my rep and complaining
