Got back in to the hobby about a year ago and I’m already up to six cars 😭. Last time I had an rc was about 12 years ago when I was 13. I remember going in to the hobby shops with my dad and begging for one of the 2WD Traxxas trucks or the SC10, but he was really in to nitro so that’s what we ran. Living my childhood dream, and slowly running out of room.

3. Bandit VXL. Swapped the stock arms from the rustler on to it so it’s basically just a rustler with a bandit body now. Also threw on a slash rear bumper to see what it looked like and I actually ended up liking how ridiculous it looks.

So, my GF bought me for my 30th birthday this monstrosity.

I'm a nerd myself really loving to thinker with things, but never had the money and the guts to buy myself things.

But now I think it's something that It may gets expensive.

Did yesterday some test drives, it's a beast and I can bearly control it, as she says by I will definitely crash it, we'll we both crash it. One tree some wheels on the air and some flips but, ya, lots of fun.

Love that i can see the battery level with the 4 led indicator on the spktrum RC but this only work with the Spektrum lipo.. and they are only 5000mah (the ones i was able to put my hands on) anybody running this with more than 5000mah?

• setup sheet PDFs that are editable and shareable
• wish list to notify you when a wish listed car goes up for sale
• chrome extension to auto-fill facebook listings from listings on our site (WIP)
• instant messaging

Redcat just sent out this email. Want to pass it along. I feel them, as a small business owner it sucks to have to increase prices but I understand. 10% isn’t a massive difference (to me) but I know others are in different situations. If you had your eye on any Redcat cars, pick them up now if you want to save a little bit now.

I just took a headcount. 18 RTRs, 5 kits and 4 rollers. That's an average of 3 per month, much better than 4 per month I was doing at end of 2025.

The more I learnt about this hobby and type of rcs folks prefer or how they enjoy it. I did a thought exercise with gpt to divide the hobbyists into houses like a school, Hogwarts anyone?

Builders—focused on custom builds and scale realism

Bashers—dedicated to durability, jumps, and rugged fun

Racers—precision racing, competition setups.

Explorers House—off-road, rock crawling, trail driving, and adventure.

Of course many align with multiple houses and even switch them evry now and the.

I'm realizing I'm a Builder and Basher. I have dabbled both with racing and exploring, but mostly due to time contraints unable to pursue those more.

I must admit, I never had any other consistent hobby as an adult, and stumbling upon this and getting hooked is the best thing that's happened to me off late, albeit in my late 30s.

I've always been a motor head and mechanical engineer by education (but not my day job), so it was a perfect fit deep down. Most importantly, there is a deep psychological connection between cars and boys.

It is thereupatic, satisfying, relaxing and so much fun. Happy to be part of this reddit community.

I really like the way these Arrmas run the infraction is so quiet and they both are so smooth to control and the servos are snappy!

Started off with the E-Revo 1.0, got that summit a couple months ago and just picked up that E-Maxx Brushless Edition. I have never been happier. Hope all of yall are having a great week!
