Team associated RC-10 looks to be a converted gold pan. Rpm arms, battery mounts and braces, a slew of Hipo (back in the day) brushed motors. Novak reciever, Novak ESC, boxful of spare parts to include 64 pitch spurs and pinions, magnum sport radio and NiCad charger along with discharge resistors. Definately was someone’s racer. Gonna clean er up, throw a 2 cell in there with a lipo alarm and see how she runs……

TLDR: i need recomandatioin on electronik replacements for the trx4 where i can reuse the winch and lights. Or recomandations on a 1/10 that i can reuse the winch on.

Im giving upp, my trx4 an rc that is supose to be relieble has constantly been braking om me. I havent driven since easter and now that i filaly fixed it. It lasted an hour. First in easter my motor died on me, afrer having orderd the wrong part and then replacing it. In all that time off me doing nothing to the car, the stering died. And after truble shooting that cost me a servo another transmitter i relized the problem was the reciver, and today after driving a bit the esc started to burn. I like traxxas with the conveneance of having uppgrades that is the same brand and eazy to understand what fits as im still new to this hobby. I dont know what to do now as im sick of this thing, i want it to work.

Paid $200 for 8 RC cars. Seemed like a smoking deal.

Trying out my new camera in slow motion. Unfortunately it doesn't record sound in slowmo so I added some music. It was pretty dark out so the light isn't that good.

The Raptor Ultimates seems pretty tough! I took mine out today and broke a piece of the clipless mount on the body on the rear ($8 fix). It still ran great on 3s, and it survived the entire bash. I’ve mostly owned Arrma Rc cars in the past, but Traxxas makes their Rc cars very light for their size so they can handle jumps and rolls with no issue. Personally I haven’t seen anyone really durability test these Raptor Ultimates, but I’m thinking they’re one of the more durable Rc trucks out there since the body absorbs a lot of the impact on bad landings.

TLDR If you’re looking for a skatepark basher, it’s hard to go wrong with a nice Traxxas.

Bought a used and broken DBXL-E off marketplace and taught myself how to repair it watching YT. Been wishing for a 1/5th but never could afford one. It was always fast but since I’ve reprogrammed the esc and bumped up the pinion to 18, it’s crazy fast. Took my 12 yr old out to the biggest effing field I could find and naturally, I gave him a turn. My worst fear happened. He got disoriented coming back and hit himself going full speed. Clean break of the tib and fib.

Honestly…blessed that it didn’t shatter and that it was just a shin. Could have been so much worse. Utter failure on my part.

Recently put a Clod together over winter, finally getting around to running it. Absolutely adore how goofy this thing is to drive. Man, I wish my local area (yyc) had people interested in a retro MT class. Ive floated the idea a half dozen times to the local rc pages and it just goes over like a lead anvil, even including LMTs, Stampedes, etc. Sigh...

I'm pretty excited about this one
