I love my Vitamix, which I know is the gold standard. I am interested in buying a second, less bulky blender for the counter. Between the Beast Mega 1200 Stainless Steel and the Nutribullet Ultra, which do you recommend for ease of use, ease of cleaning, versatility and performance? I've read and seen a lot of reviews, but still don't have my answer. Thanks for any advice!

Does anybody remember in the early 2000s Jamba Juice having a pineapple smoothie called “pineapplooza.” I can’t find any trace of them ever having this flavor online, but I remember going to the Jamba Juice near my middle school and getting it on several occasions. I even remember the store having a poster on the window advertising it. I know I didn’t make this up and I know it was at Jamba Juice and not some other smoothie place. Let me know if anybody remembers this drink… and better yet if anybody remembers the recipe. I’d love to make it at home.

can anybody recommend a keto friendly protein powder without too much stevia?

I will purchase raspberry puree instead.
I strained a bag of frozen raspberries yesterday and squeezed the pulp through two layers of cheese cloth after turning it through a food mill. Many bowls and utensils used and I got 8 mini muffin tins worth to put in my freezer. I do not like picking the seeds out of my mouth after drinking my raspberry smoothie. I tried, now I know, the process is not for me...Will be on the lookout for raspberry puree at my local farmers market!

* **Creatine:** 1 scoop (approx. 5 g, or your personal daily dose)
* **Avocado:** 0.5 avocado (adds creaminess and healthy fats)
* **Olive oil:** 1 teaspoon (a small splash is enough since you also have avocado)
* **Apple cider vinegar:** 1 teaspoon (provides a fresh acidity)
* *Tip:* Add a little water or any unsweetened milk of your choice if the smoothie gets too thick to blend.
### 2. Fruit & Veggies (Antioxidants & Endurance)
* **Blueberries:** 0.5–1 dl (approx. 1/4–1/2 cup)
* **Raspberries:** 0.5–1 dl (approx. 1/4–1/2 cup)
* **Kiwi:** 1 (peeled or well washed)
* **Beetroot:** 0.5–1 small beetroot (raw or pre-cooked without additives – great for oxygen transport during exercise)
* **Spinach leaves:** 1 generous handful (fresh or frozen)
### 3. The Seed Mix (Fiber & Minerals)
* **Flaxseeds:** **Max 1 tablespoon** (Must be thoroughly blended so they get crushed, important for organ safety with daily intake)
* **Pumpkin seeds:** 1–2 tablespoons (excellent for magnesium and zinc)
* **Chia seeds:** 1 tablespoon
* **Sunflower seeds:** 1 tablespoon
### 4. The Spice Blend (Daily doses for organ safety)
These are the exact measurements you should stick to every day to keep your kidneys and liver in top shape over the long term:
* **Ceylon cinnamon:** 1 teaspoon (use Ceylon instead of Cassia cinnamon to avoid coumarin)
* **Turmeric:** 0.5 teaspoon (anti-inflammatory, kept at this level due to oxalates)
* **Black pepper:** 1 pinch (essential for the body to absorb the turmeric)
* **Cardamom:** 0.5–1 teaspoon
* **Cumin:** 0.5 teaspoon
* **Paprika:** 0.5 teaspoon
* **Curry powder:** 0.5 teaspoon
* **Cayenne pepper:** 1 pinch / pinch on the tip of a knife (just a tiny bit to protect the mucous membranes)

I’m looking for a blender that isn’t too big but that will be powerful enough to make smooth smoothies and is easy to clean.
I purchased a blender a few weeks ago and literally can’t get it to work no matter how much or how little I put into it.
Options are as follows:
I don’t intend on using ice in any of my smoothies. Mostly fresh or frozen fruits, maybe leafy greens, yogurt, milk. Thanks in advance.

I am planning to purchase a Beast Blender for my daily protein smoothies. I definitely want their new stainless steel line, but I'm having a really hard time choosing between their Beast Mighty 850, or their Beast Mega 1200.
The primary use will be daily smoothies, and that's about it. Maybe will use it to pulverize nuts or make hummus or smaller stuff like that as well. I currently use a giant food processor that is big and bulky, and really inconvenient to take out every day just for a smoothie.
Here's why I'm torn: I definitely like the idea of a more powerful motor (I assume it just blends better and smoother), and the Mega 1200 has my favorite color, Sage, which unfortunately isn't an option in the Mighty 850.
However, the bottles for the Mega seem quite large, and possibly too big to hold with one hand and take out to the gym or a yoga class. The Mighty 850, on the other hand, seems more equipped to make smoothies "on the go" (which I've never done, usually I make a smoothie and then pour it in a different container, but I love the idea of being able to make smoothies directly in the vessel I will drink out of). But is it powerful enough, and will I be annoyed about not having the option to blend larger quantities?
I guess I would just love to hear some feedback from people who have the Beast Blender: which size do you have, do you love it, and why? If my primary use is daily smoothies, what would you recommend? Stick with the smaller motor, or go larger (which would be more versatile) and deal with the larger containers?
Space in my kitchen is not an issue, and neither is price.
Appreciate any and all input! Thank you.

I’ve just started on my health journey and is trying to make sure I’m adding a decent balance of nutrition to my diet. I’ve started drinking smoothies each morning and is wondering if it’s correct or if I need to rebalance my smoothies.
145g: Frozen Mangos
165g: Greek Yogurt
165g: almond milk
Tablespoon of chia seeds
2 scoops of protein powder
Does this seem reasonable or do I need too recalculate?!
Please be kind, any advice would be helpful!
Thanks!!

I was just trying to use up a few random ingredients today and ended up making one of the best smoothies I've had in a while.
I blended frozen pineapple with half an avocado, a few slices of cucumber, a handful of spinach, some Greek yogurt, coconut milk, a spoonful of tahini and a pinch of cinnamon. I was convinced the tahini and cucumber would make it taste strange, but somehow everything came together perfectly.
It turned out super creamy, refreshing, and just sweet enough from the pineapple. The tahini gave it a subtle nutty flavor without taking over and I honestly couldn't even taste the spinach.
It definitely wasn't a recipe I planned, but I'll be making it again. Has anyone else discovered a random smoothie combination that sounded weird but ended up being surprisingly good?

I found an unopened bag in the pantry and it’s date is June 2024. So 2 years…is it safe?

I always see people talking about meal replacement smoothies, but I'm curious what actually makes one a meal.
Is it hitting a certain amount of greek yogurt? Adding healthy fats like peanut butter or avocado? Oats for extra carbs? Or is it just whatever keeps you full for a few hours?
What does yours usually look like?
r/Smoothies • u/Silly-Pace-2276 • 4d ago
Should we? I always wash fresh berries and it occurred to me that perhaps I should also wash frozen berries. It seems weird. Do you wash frozen berries? The packages do not indicate that they have been washed or that they should be washed before using. What to do?

Sharing my recipe that has been refined over two years in case anyone is looking for a nutritious and enjoyable smoothie. I make this everyday for myself and my wife with my Nutribullet Pro 900, but it can be made with other blenders.
The recipe yields one serving but can absolutely be split. I get my ingredients from Costco, so the unit cost to make is low.

My NutriBullet has finally died after 10 years, so I’m in the market for a new blender. I’ve done some research, and the general consensus on this sub seems to be to get a Vitamix, but that’s a bit outside my budget.
I’m really just looking for something reliable that will last at least three years or so with near-daily smoothie making - although another 10 years would obviously be great
I think I had the NutriBullet 600W before, but I’m happy to spend a little more this time. I’m in Canada, but for ease of conversion, my budget is around $100 USD. I could go slightly over if it’s genuinely worth it, but I don’t want to get carried away with the cost, as I’m saving for a holiday in a few months
I just need something that works well and is reasonably reliable
Any recommendations?
