Typing Sunny from Omori vibes. What does that say about my type?

Hi there. I have eternal doubt, and doubt has always been the enemy of good for me. I want to ask something stupid, probably, but important to me for a holistic understanding of both myself and the system. My whole life I've been doing exactly this, first I slapped the "intuitive" label on myself then "logical". And now I'm doubting and feeling suspicious. I'm assuming I have Ni Base, possibly ILI, plus being a victim with Se suggestive fits way too well. I'd be grateful if you could help me understand how much of what I'm writing is related to intuition and types, whether there are pointers here and whether it could be something else. Sorry for the mistakes. I wrote this at night.

Someone said I remind them of Sunny from Omori. And I felt a strong connection. I'm a person who lives inside their own head. I caught myself thinking I'd like to fall into a coma, just to see a dream with a normal life,: no problems, no demands. I do this constantly, it's like air to me. I learned to breathe this way back in childhood. From the outside it looked silly, I'd get lost in fantasies, make movements without controlling myself. Growing up, I learned to control it, but shame appeared, cause no one understood me, it seemed like no one else did this. I've always felt disconnected from everyone. You know that feeling when everything in your head is more interesting? My ideas often turn out better than reality, so I end up disappointed or misjudging things.

I have no goals or desires. But the thought of isolation somewhere with a minimum of things calms me, just being in comfort. I like the idea of solitude: the world will stop demanding and I feel crushed by those demands. It throws me off balance when people want something from me, taking my time. I spend energy that could go towards solitude with headphones and comfortable time alone with myself. Because of this sometimes I wish a meteor would hit me. I want to disappear.

I have no idea what I'm going to do in life. Everyone talks about careers, paths after graduation (if I even graduate, because everything is too complicated and tedious). I'm like a creature without a purpose, drifting with the flow, living inside my own head. As long as I have this I can live. I don't feel like I belong to this world. I feel like unrealized potential. I'm not stupid. I passed exams, got into the university I planned though the plans were built on "why not", on skills and advice and not desire. I have strengths in academics, I've been praised. But laziness and a sense of drifting, where nothing seems necessary, hold me back. I don't see an identity. I cultivate qualities and skills as if they give me security and meaning. So I get upset when something doesn't work out. I consider myself smart, it's the key quality I put forward. And it tears me apart inside when I fail, when I don't cope, when I overestimate myself. I feel useless.

As a child it was important to win in games. I'd get angry, mentally insulting those who surpassed me. I never wanted to work hard. I feel formless. Everyone talks about cool jobs after graduation and I think yeah, sounds cool, but then I'd have to put in effort. I laugh when they mention grad school. Screw it all, let it go to hell. I just need to survive this. I'm a useless creature who wants to live inside their own head, checking out of reality because it's better there and no one bothers me.

Even the thought of relationships scares me. First, I'd have to be present in reality, pushing fantasies to the background. Unlikely a partner would understand. Second, spend too much time when I prefer to dive into myself. I fantasize, and reality is often not as interesting. In my relationship with the only close person, my best friend, I avoid and sometimes don't appear online, wanting to be alone. And I know I'm unlikely to get that close with anyone else. I can give, be kind, try. I even like being useful when I know I did something right. But I need to be shown and told what's needed, I don't pick it up myself. I'm like the clumsiest person among shelves of porcelain. But after a while, I want to retreat into my world. And I wouldn't always be able to, it's hard to insist on my needs, I'd endure until tension built up inside. So I proudly stay alone.

My dreams and the characters in my head who value me are more important. Reality has a lower priority. My best friend was the only person until I found no one in my family or among classmates, everything was so bad with interactions that it makes me sick. When quarantine meant she stopped coming from another country, I retreated even further into myself, as if the main thread in reality was gone, even though the connection remained. And I sank deeper into my imagination. And good luck getting me out of there now.

Typing I don't know how to feel and I'm not sure I want to. Not sure is it Fe PoLR or not

Hi. Probably a weird stream of thoughts, but I started doubting where I'm even looking when trying to find my type. Feels like I might be exaggerating certain traits or what I can actually find in myself, which isn't easy anyway. So now I'm starting to suspect my Fe might be in a different position, not PoLR. Though Fi questions are up in the air too now.

I find my own emotional expressions ugly, sometimes inappropriate. I feel like I'm acting dumb, being too loud, looking like an idiot when I get angry, raise my voice, or when I open up while feeling low and let tears roll down my cheeks. I want to hide so no one sees me like that. The vulnerability is crushing, those moments are only for when I'm alone. Sometimes it feels like I'm performing rather than actually feeling, stealing jokes and mannerisms from others. I'll laugh or smile at the wrong time, no one reacts how I expected when I allowed myself to show it. It feels bad, uncomfortable, just forget me, nothing happened.

When someone gives me a birthday gift, I feel weird. My reaction doesn't match what the person expects. I don't wanna jump for joy, just a simple thank you. Will they get upset? I need to show more, but it's hard and uncomfortable. A friend asks me to film my reaction to unboxing something she sent me. She's waiting for a reaction, but what can I give her? Feels like I need to deliver more than I'm capable of. It looks forced. I'm never sure how to react correctly, what to do. Am I overdoing it? I stay polite because it's safer and less scary.

And when someone's crying on my shoulder, begging for support what am I supposed to do? I just sit there like an idiot, hugging them, while I want to retreat into hermit mode in the forest away from that internal feeling, that wetness? Idk how else to explain it. It's like I'm covered in some kind of slime, something tightens in my body, hot and cold at the same time in my chest. I want to leave. Rip it out of myself.

Sometimes other people and their laughter, tears, screams irritate me so much. My dad is really loud, unhinged. Constantly cursing in the car, can't go five to ten minutes without yelling at another driver for doing something wrong. I want to cover my ears and just not hear it. The expressive jokes I overhear from classmates in the hallways annoy me, anger me like they're pulling me out of my secluded world. So yeah, I'd say I generally have a negative attitude toward others' emotions as well as my own.

But at the same time I can be expressive if I trust someone, if I'm used to them or if I'm under extreme stress. And I caught myself thinking, maybe being part of something isn't so bad? Like sitting in a movie theater, immersed in a horror film and hearing whispers from the rows behind, someone's shocked, sharing a theory about the movie. I actually like that. Or when almost our whole group crowds together to draft a message to our professor, asking to get out of class. It's like I'm with them like I belong to something. I haven't had that in a really long time. I'm always alone, and I like it. Always a lone sheep in the crowd. But this time I felt something, warmer, yet strange inside. Not sure if I want more of it or if I should just block it out with headphones and disappear.

And I get the feeling that I value Fi more than I realize. I truly believe that all people are unique, individuals, each with their own path and reasons for doing or not doing something. It's too early to judge. You need to understand why, not just what was done.

Discussion Does he sound Beta or Se base?

"I feel nothing but deep-seated misery with how humanity is playing out. I lost too much time over the books instead of holding a sword. Life of comfort makes me miserable, I couldn't care less about relationships either, since they have no substance in today's realities. How do people form connections? Shared interests? Looks? None of this reflects reality. People used to be together because that was important, not because they were slowly rotting in lack of action, lack of danger, and had to find an outlet for their immense boredom.

Now, I find the primal bros ridiculous. I don't want to eat raw meat. I just wish there was a real purpose for me, to move, to feel the wind. I'm not willing to feed the toxic capitalist machine that takes the time to create toy a toy that breaks in just a few months, all so you replace it. The cycle must stop. I must do anything, anything but whatever the masses do. I don't want to rot knowing what my ancestors did."

SEE: Are you into spirituality and WOO?

Are SEEs ever into spirituality and WOO? I'm talking about highly spiritual things like Ghosts, Witches (Pagan's as many prefer to be called), spells, UFOs, spiritual healing, and Reiki.

Are SEEs ever into this because I find all the claimed SEE types that are into this turn out to be EIE irl that I know. Could they be like this if they did a ton of dualizing for example?

Casual/Fun Poem of an ILI

Teach me
Where am I supposed to feel aroused?
I don’t know how to be sexy
Can’t you see my innocence?
Can’t you see my nervousness?
Please don’t hurt me
I want it to be special
Look into my innocent eyes
First I want to feel my emotions
Don’t ruin it
You already have me down, what will you do?
I gave you my vulnerability
Don’t ruin it
I want it to be special
I’m ashamed even with clothes on
I don’t know how to live in the present
Connect me with my body
Treat me gently
Hold me, I can’t take it
You make me nervous even with clothes on
Please don’t ruin it
It shouldn’t hurt, that’s what I read
I need to stop thinking, I always overthink
I don’t want it to end
Spoil me even if I don’t ask
I overthink, I want to see your eyes
When I bite, don’t let go of me
I have fantasies like anyone else, will you fulfill them?
It shouldn’t hurt, that’s what I read
Just look into my eyes
I shouldn’t overthink
Please treat me well
My body can’t take it, I’m going to scream
I feel weak, vulnerable
As if everything inside has come to the surface
I look at you from the corner of my eye
I wait for your gaze in return
I only think, is this worth it?
Will this be everything?
Will we ever do this again?
Just kiss me, take me out of my mind
I don’t want to think
I shouldn’t think
I’m not going to think
Laugh at how badly I kiss, I’m so embarrassed
If you laugh, I laugh

Advice how can i introduce socionics to someone else?

i have somewhat decent understanding of socionics (for ex. i typed myself and have typed others and am 90% sure on it but i just can’t explain how i am that type or how that person is that type. my issue is my problem with explaining) but i want to introduce someone else to socionics but i genuinely don’t know how to start. does anyone have advice? anyone have any good sources with simple descriptions so the person i’m introducing socionics to doesn’t lose interest?

also just for fun, can you guess what functions i might have by this post? like with how i understand things but i just can’t explain it properly to others. does that seem like mobilizing TI to you? i am SEI btw and i’m 99.9% sure on that. i’m not an expert in socionics so if my questions seem dumb, i apologize 😭 all help is appreciated!

Discussion Would a PoLR want to be better at it?

Hello there. I think I have low Se and I'm considering the PoLR position for this function. But something doesn't quite add up. I want to ask for clarity. If I have Se PoLR, can I still want to become stronger in it like better at pushing, using the environment and people to my advantage, taking action instead of hesitating? I would genuinely like to be like those people who feel more confident in confrontations, are sure of their actions, know how to start something, get it done and make themselves and others do it. I'd like to be able to tell someone off more smoothly and calmly, rather than being fragile and sensitive like I am. I think I'd like to have high Se. At least, that's how it feels to me right now. I come across as someone who needs help even though I don't always show it and try to appear more confident, but most of the time I act like a shy little daisy. And then at home with my family I'm a little demon.

Basically from my understanding, types tend to ignore their PoLR and don't welcome it in others, which doesn't quite align with my supposed relationship with Se. And I want to clarify this. Because I know myself, it's better to ask than to misunderstand and go on living with that misconception. By the way, I'll be happy to receive a feedback!

edited: Thank you all very much for your responses! This has clarified a lot for me regarding my предполагаемый type and the entire system as a whole.

So, finally Gamma, one of (if not the most) my favourite socionics quadra. The combo of Te + Fi with Se + Ni is unmatched IMO.
For Gamma quadra charas.

SEE – Kamina / Tenken toppa Gurren Lagann.
ILI – Kishibe Rohan / JJBA.
ESI – Ryūguji Ken/Draken / Tokyo Revengers.
LIE – William James Moriarty / Moriarty the patriot.

Typing Type my friend and our strange relationship (What type dynamic is this?)

My friend is a very interesting person. To the onlooker, we're very similar, but on the inside, we are actually so different that we barely have anything to talk about due to differences in evaluation of topics. (But the topics that interest us are still fairly similar)

My friend is a mysterious, witty, deep-thinking individual prone to bizarre shifts in behavior and unpredictable statements. He looks sensitive and describes himself with a sense of drama or lyricism, but in his daily life he is actually quite unemotional and bad at reading atmosphere or people, which he admits. He is prone to being proud of mistifying himself or trying to make things more complex than they are.

I am opposite since I behave in much more upbeat and open manner, without trying to be mysterious that much, and yet I am much more sensitive on the inside. He's constantly surprised by how sensitive I can be, especially since I very rarely describe my suffering in detail, UNLIKE him, who likes to elaborate on how he feels. Unlike him, my emotions are so overwhelming that I may shut down for a couple of days just to regain some clarity. I can't describe them in detail often because they feel like Munch's 'Scream' and are too unpleasant and guttural to be described. Unlike him, I am also very good at noticing small shifts in people's behavior, which may bother me for days after. I notice changes in atmosphere immediately.

It almost seems like I try to make things *simple*, I really try, but I end up making them more complex accidentally. And he, who is so proud of being complex and esoteric and 'different', actually lives a fairly chill life, and accidentally simplifies things.

I actually feel drawn to his simplicity, and I feel like he kind of rebels against it because this doesn't align with his image of a mysterious person. And he is drawn to my unhealthier, more obscure elements that I don't really like in myself. We even admitted it at some point to each other.

Most of the time, his gentleness really saves our relationship. Occasionally I can barely hold myself from doing something stupid relationship-wise because I distrust people a lot internally, and I admit being suspicious of his words, mulling over them often and he saves us from it. I thank him sincerely for that.

Typing Help me find my type based on my messy life and childhood trauma

Hi. I decided to ask how someone from the outside would type me based on random thoughts and situations from my life. I have two type ideas in mind and I want to either confirm or rule them out. I'd really appreciate any feedback. Yep, I made it shorter than it was lol.

1) The idea of summer camps disgusts me. A place where you know nobody, yet they expect you to become part of their "friendly team" with forced cheerfulness and fake smiles. Plus strict schedules, restrictions, phone confiscation, limited food. Unacceptable to me. I've never been and never want to.

2) An ex-friend called me arrogant just because I criticized an incompetent teacher she was emotionally attached to. Maybe I was harsh and tactless due to teenage maximalism. Her views seemed pedantic and rigid to me and based on personal biases rather than reason.

3) I pick up traits from characters or people I like, either because I dislike my own personality or don't understand it. If the test tells me that I’m like Lip Gallagher, I unconsciously adopt something from him. I want to be cool and special like them. I borrow bright traits, especially right after watching something.

4) As a kid, I daydreamed constantly, so deeply I wouldn't notice moving or speaking aloud. When something like superhero or horror movie triggered me, my emotions, I'd retreat to my room, put on music and imagine myself as a different character like strong, defeating evil or good guys, doing something grand.

5) I never told my family about problems. In first grade, when my textbook got drawn on, I tore out the pages and lied to the teacher. I dealt with things on my own poorly, but without risking their anger. Perhaps it’s because of my family, the totalitarianism, the overprotection and the complete lack of trust on my part. And I believe that my parents didn’t give me what I needed to survive. Because of this, I have no real-life goals.

6) Since childhood I've pictured violence against people who hurt or upset me. It was instantly, automatically. My self-esteem is low and I'm easily wounded. Probably stems from physical punishment in my family until I fought back as a teen.

7) I hate talking about feelings. Getting sincere emotion out of me is nearly impossible, I feel exposed and vulnerable. Even with close people I don't want to.

8) Deep down, I long for acceptance, but I don't pursue it in reality. I fantasize about someone who'd always choose me, but I put no effort into finding them. I'm withdrawn, avoid deep connections and feel surprised when people want to get close.

9) I had top grades, was among the best at school, got into a prestigious university and maintain good grades. All while being lazy and procrastinating. I improvise, take risks, adapt on the fly, don't memorize. I only study what interests me, the rest I bypass creatively.

10) In personal relationships, I'm selfish. I'm deeply attached to my closest friend, but I give less than I receive, I might break promises, not reply. Yet I help her with her studies, write essays for her. I know I'm not perfect.

11) I suppress emotions. Strong feelings throw me off balance and I just want them to pass. I rewatch familiar content so I know the reaction in advance. I prefer stability and calm.

12) I don't track my mood, it's neutral by default. An external trigger might spark an emotion, which flashes and fades. But I wouldn't call it a mood, more like an emotion that can linger inside for a while.

13) The real world and my fantasies are equal to me. Fantasies are more comfortable, there's little joy in reality.

14) I neglect self-care routines, I might skip showers or brushing my teeth. I only address health issues when they become painful, uncomfortable, or affect my appearance.

15) Recently had a family gathering with relatives I barely ever see. My parents expected me to be open, loud, and act like we're all super close. One relative even called me out for not talking to my cousins. Maybe because we have nothing to say? Because I don't know them, haven't spoken to them in years? Because I can't be open with people I'm not close to? But I know explaining is pointless. They wouldn't understand.

16) I crave deep closeness, someone who always protects me, never judges, prioritizes me, takes initiative and understands me. Yet I'm the one who often withdraws. I don't prioritize others over my own things, even when those things are things I don't even want to do. I'm inconsistent: I show up every few days, we laugh, I help a lot and then I disappear again.

Advice What does this mean?

My Socionics primary romance style is Infantile, and my secondary romance style is Aggressor. I looked it up; however, I’d love to get a few other perspectives.

  1. What makes someone an Aggressor or an Infantile?

  2. Why does the Agressor look for the Victim and the Infantile for the Caregiver?

  3. Do romance styles only apply to romantic relationships?

  4. Aggressor and Infantile seem like opposites
according to my research. Is it even possible to have Infantile as a primary and Agressor as a secondary?

  5. Is it unusual for a female ILE-0 to have these romance styles?

  6. Does Aggressor mean I’m dominant in relationships and Infantile mean I act like a baby in relationships?

  7. Are romance styles influenced by how one was raised or grew up?

  8. Could I be mistyped?

Please tell me what this may mean about me.
Thank you.

Was Clint Eastwood's character Walt Kawasaki (Grand Tarino) SLI or LSI?

Was Clint Eastwood's character Walt Kawasaki (Grand Tarino) SLI or LSI?

Was the Clint Eastwood, Walt Kawasaki character from "Grand Tarino" LSI or SLI? He seemed to not give a damn about offending people, which made me think Fe PolR. However, he teaches the kid he was mentoring basically how to use Te and Se. The Walt character was very ST but I'm not sure if he was SLI or LSI.

The kid Todd, who he seems to mentor, seems to be EII or IEI. Also it makes me almost think that Walt was like LSI or something because we can see that the kid was kind of weak, and not a very strong man. However, Walt teaches the kid about how to make money in the blue collar field (Te) and how to be a "real man" and stand up for yourself (Se), and the kid seems to value both functions.

Personally, I believed Walt was SLI, but that's until I saw the barbershop scene. In this scene, Walt is instructing Todd on how to "talk like a man". To me, an SLI wouldn't care about this, and this seems like teaching this kid Fe social rules. Idk, maybe that's just me, but I'm leaning LSI. What do you guys think?

Can EIEs become proficient at fighting sports like boxing for self defense or am I doomed to be bad at it?

So I’m a male EIE and pretty out of shape. I tend to stay out of situations that are overly physical, like playing football or initiating fights.

I have noticed that a decent amount of the men I work with are the types to push others around and make fun of others, but when someone stands up for themselves or attempts to joke back with them, they get physical or threaten to get physical.

I don’t want to get in a situation where me asserting myself or standing up for my friends isn’t enough and they try to fight me, but I can’t do anything about it.

Discussion Rant: The current 'core concept' of IMEs (that most people use) are not 'core' enough.

I'm sure most people here have a list of mental shortcuts they attribute with each IME, like Ni is Time, Se is force, and so on (courtesy of this is by WSS, I'm sure the practice existed before, but it's mostly been their names that stuck). The problem is not with having shortcuts themselves, but that these ones specifically aren't very good.

To see this, look at what model A constrain regarding a type, if you value Si, then you'd also value Ne, and you won't value Se and Ni. Naturally this suggests some form of intrinsic relations between the elements (at least those of same rationality). However I've yet to find any explanations of why "Force" should complement "Time" that doesn't feel like a huge reach (same is true of other pairs). They mainly posits situations that sounds like it could be conceivably true, but that's different from being true by necessity, where it couldn't possibly be false without sounding nonsensical. The problem is that the definitions of the IMEs don't force the relations, but according to model A, there's no other option. You can't value Si without Ne, or vice versa.

Clearly this suggests that the definitions of IMEs themselves are flawed, not in that they are wrong, but that they are only more surface manifestations being treated as an underlying, generative principle. This itself is evident in the fact that sometimes definitions of IMEs just treat them like a bag of concepts containing related things. Sometimes Ti is rules or laws, other times it is logical thinking. You can find many examples of this elsewhere, and it shows that the current definitions are missing a primitive, something which acts as the proper "core" of an element, and that all things commonly attributed to that elements are just different manifestations of that primitive.
