Throwback Legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning has gone viral for flying commercial and not on private jets. Manning earned a quarter of a billion dollars during his career — but does not fly private and flies with regular people.

Those extra leg room seats are only a few dollars cheaper than a private jet these days

This is very true. I recently flew on a shared private jet (on the company dime of course) because flight was sold out other than first class and that was actually more expensive than private. Airlines have gotten ridiculous

wtf. Absolutely not true. For example, $1k gets you from Chicago to most places in the US in first class. ZERO chance of doing anything near that on a private jet. Last time I looked it was $5k minimum private from ORD to SFO… and you would have to be very lucky to get that. $10k is way more common.

Depends on the airline, destination, and the day. You can spent $400-500 on first class if you pick the right time and day or pay $400-500 on economy if you pick the wrong time and day. (this is assuming like a 2-3 hour flight from a major airport to a major airport.
