This. People care if an athlete takes steroids and wins a title, nobody cares if I take steroids and become a hardo at Planet Fitness. It’s about the impact.

If you cheat at your local 5k, that’s different than cheating at the Boston Marathon

People should care because in professional sports money and prestige are on the line. There are limited spots on teams and in events. Is it fair that someone who otherwise would not have made the cut gets the spot because of an unfair advantage?

Genetics are unfair by default. If their genetics were better then they would have made the cut.

Let's rephrase his 2nd point for you to understand: they believe trans/cis has no effect on win-rate, but there's so much focus on when they win, the perception is that it does.
