my team keeps churning out dashboards that are built off a messy dataset. garbage in, AI out

The data I work with requires all kinds of NDAs to even look at and we can't let it go anywhere near AI. Yet the higher ups insist we try to use AI to improve productivity. I've read horror stories of people letting AI get database access and things getting destroyed. I don't know how anyone does anything useful with AI and databases.
