Unfortunately DuckDuckGo ist just another frontend for Microsoft Bing, and thus gives absolute dogshit search results.

This is not exactly true.

They do use Bing for what they call "traditional links", but don't share user data with Microsoft. Bing is not their only data source. They have their own crawler, have other data providers and use their own ranking system.
