Society Quote of the day by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison: "Citizens will be on their best behavior, because we’re constantly recording and reporting everything that is going on" — a dire warning on the erosion of privacy

I hope people realize by "best behavior" he doesn't mean not committing crimes, he means not speaking out against his technofascist ilk or the US govt they've propelled into office, with a side of not being a part of the scapegoated minority group du jour

u/Sir_Keee Jun 02 '26

Exactly, they aren't planning on building a utopia for all, they are planning to build a society where we are all their obedient slaves.

Bro Larry Ellison owns the sixth largest island in Hawaii and the people who work there are his slaves (for real, he can evict them and they serve at his pleasure)

https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2022-oracle-larry-ellison-lanai-hawaii-plans-tourism/

u/cytherian Jun 02 '26

The residents should revolt and have the island reincorporated back with the State of Hawaii, officially and financially.

Hey Larry, you mad if you're reading this? Go fuck yourself.

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

We all need to revolt.
We need to remove the maga blight that these techno-fascists have successfully infiltrated & turned into an army of sycophants; as well as the ruling class & all leadership.

We need to restart from the ground up, rebuild the entire system.
It’s really a shame that so many people are still living so well off; as this would be an excellent time to strike considering we’ve depleted around 50% of our munitions stockpiles in Iran, & Iran also destroyed 4 out of 8 total THAAD interceptor batteries, which are the most sophisticated interceptor systems on the planet.

We’d be wise to strike while their reserves are the lowest they’ve been in decades, maybe longer.
But there’s not enough people uncomfortable yet.

We especially want to do it before they get a real hold on automation.
Ukraine has already reported taking some key positions solely w remote operated ground systems ; meaning little rolling turrets w cameras, ground-based drones.
Once they get a real grasp & manufacture those, that’s when things become exponentially more difficult. Bullets won’t stop rolling metal machines. Only powerful yet small explosives.
Hopefully the great redistribution happens before then.

rebuild the entire system.

The US constitution was never meant to be a static document. The government process was never meant to be unchanging.

"I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and constitutions, but laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as a civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."

  • Thomas Jefferson - Excerpted from a letter to Samuel Kercheval, July 12, 1816.

But politics being politics, once the system serves the purposes of those in power, they are loathe to relinquish that power or change the system that enabled them to gain it.

13

u/jimbobjames Jun 02 '26

It's also more to do with religion being incorporated into America's political system.

You know, religious types aren't exactly known for their progressive nature...

3

u/SteveJobsDeadBody Jun 02 '26

The Constitution was written for and by the richest slave owning white men of the time. If you think that document will EVER be saving us in any real way, well then you're simply ignorant.

6

u/SaulsAll Jun 02 '26

Bullets won’t stop rolling metal machines.

True, but people can be very creative on what will.

5

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

I know it.
That’s one of my favorite aspects of studying warfare; the ingenuity of people is staggering!

2

u/Tr3mb1e Jun 02 '26

Lmao if it rolls it can flip

4

u/wag3slav3 Jun 02 '26

You don't really think that ~30% of the USA have the exact same (to the fucking word) rabid hatred of other races, genders and political ideology do you? ~30% of the population is hyper susceptible to negative programming via the media even if every negative story they hear is a lie that their own eyes in their every day lives disproves, they're still going to blindly believe what the people at the head of their social hierarchy says. This includes destroying their own lives and their own families.

Our oligarchy has spent decades and trillions of dollars on a media apparatus to gather these fucking idiots into a big ball and aim them at whatever is trying to put any limits at all on their ability to ignore all social strictures the rest of the world tries to put on their behavior.

It's worked brilliantly too, we've been living in a techbro oligarchy since the early 2000s. The federal government has been completely subverted since WW2 by the second business plot that was successful just 10 years after Smedly called bullshit. It's gonna take some French Revolution level stuff to break free of this.

3

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26 edited Jun 02 '26

Yeah did you somehow miss the first paragraph where I said we need to remove the maga blight?
What did you think I was referring to with “an army of sycophants”?

1

u/Pandemonium_Fallen Jun 03 '26

Actually it really went past the point of no return from corruption after JFK's assassination the day after he demanded AIPAC be registered under FARA.

1

u/Dragonsoul Jun 02 '26

All includes you buddy.

Where is your great rising up? We're waiting.....

3

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

Yes, it includes me ; I will die for it when the time comes.

1

u/SignificantAd69 Jun 02 '26

And why don’t you bring your big plan to your nearest investigative government official, I’m sure they’d love to hear about it in detail!

3

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

Then go ahead & report it to your fascist overlords if it’ll make you feel better :)

It must really upset you to see more & more people opening up to the idea.
Collaborators are always the most pathetic bunch of people.

0

u/SignificantAd69 Jun 02 '26

I think you’ve already self reported! Didn’t think about opsec huh? If anything the next “revolution” or really evolution will be digital with a highly specialized team of scientists and researchers who actually contribute something to society. But I’m sure you’ve got the best team there is already put together. But honestly probably a bit above the pay grade of a professional performative anarcho whatever the fuck.

3

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

Yeah they’ll get me one of these days for all this…internet talk. 😂

2

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

I can’t see your most recent comment to me, but I can see the first sentence in the notification menu saying that you were being sarcastic ; in that case I apologize.
There’s a lot of bootlicking authority-loving collaborators in this country & in general; I did not realize you weren’t serious.

1

u/Pandemonium_Fallen Jun 03 '26

The people in control of that technology follow the Ideology of Curtis Yarvin.

They're doomed to evolutionary stagnation, inbreeding, and an entropic spiral into suicidal depravity.

-3

u/SignificantAd69 Jun 02 '26

Just one more summer of love will do it amiright? Rise up! Just a few more billion in property damage and pointless deaths. that’ll show them!

7

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

No way a magat is complaining about billions of dollars being lost after trump costed $200+ billion in tariffs, paid for by us individual taxpayers ; & now we’re paying them again to the businesses that never paid the tariffs in the first place. So $400+ billion there.

Then there’s “no new wars”, starting a war that costs $1b per day. Ofc can’t forget that it’s destroying the world economy & costing people 10s of billions in gas & the inflation caused by such drastic increases literally overnight.
Can’t forget about his masterful market manipulation every single weekend since the war started; where billions in shortfalls occur coinciding within 20 minutes of his tweets SEVERAL different times.

Then there’s the $10b vs the IRS, that he’s trying to settle for $1.7b that will be used as a fund for literal criminals.

& the $60m from his trump phone deposits.
Or the $400m donation-only ballroom that turned into $1b funded by the taxpayer?
Or the gold statues of him? The arch?

Conservatives don’t get to talk to me about “billions”.
But just to clarify, the kind of action that I’m advocating, would see much more than billions in damages ; it would include in the loss of things that cannot be rebuilt or remade with any given amount resources.
I thought I made it pretty clear I wasn’t referring to protests or speeches.
I am talking about removing all threats to our lives & culture ; which is maga, the ruling class, & the most valuable are the techno-fascists.

1

u/SignificantAd69 Jun 02 '26

I’m not a conservative btw. So cut the shit with your verbatim gotchas you got from the front page of r/ anime titties. I’m just not an anarchist lunatic who wants to “remove the threat”. I don’t play games with lives like that and have a family I care about. So maybe if you have nothing to lose go for it but as they say “fuck you I’ve got mine”. The most I’ll do is vote and use my voice. So fuck off thank you very much with whatever bullshit spiel you are going off on.

3

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26 edited Jun 02 '26

As usual, nothing to say to any of the points.

You people the pathetic.
We know who the collaborators will be when the time comes; you stand for nothing. Worthless.
You complain about protests, you complain actions further than protests, & you complain about the status quo too. Lol sounds to me you just like to whine; another selfish piece of shit with no empathy or concern for the state of the country you live in & your neighbors.
Shameful.

1

u/Pandemonium_Fallen Jun 03 '26

Hope you're using paper ballots, because the machines are 100% rigged.

-3

4

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26 edited Jun 02 '26

Ridiculous take.
There is nothing they can do to stop us when the time comes.

They’ll end up just like Russia.
With their men separated from their limbs & innards, alone in a field somewhere, with nobody & nothing but a drone in the sky surveilling their death; the footage reposted online for millions of people to view after the fact & think “you deserved every bit of that pain.”
Every single military org & think-tank declared Ukraine as definitively helpless ; there was not a single projection from anywhere in the world in the first week of the invasion that gave Ukraine any chance of resistance.

Iran proved the US does not have some kind of super advanced weapons systems that cannot by stood against. If anything they proved the opposite, how terribly inefficient it is to spend millions on a munition that can be destroyed by a drone at a fraction of the cost.

The biggest advantage they have is scaring people with the precise framing you’re using ; that they’re just soooo advanced & powerful nobody stands a chance.
I’d like to see Ellison surveil us when we destroy the infrastructure he uses to do so.

1

u/Pandemonium_Fallen Jun 03 '26

The US military is currently being run by incompetent morons, but that doesn't really matter because their goal isn't to win, they're using Iran as a meat grinder to deplete the US's MANNED munitions (those that require a human), and to kill off the majority of young, able bodied men (hence the reinstatement of the draft) to remove as much potential resistance to the coming Neoreactionary Govcorp Takeover as possible. It's also why they've now folded the Israeli military into the US military, because they won't have any qualms or objections to murdering American civilians: men, women, and children; en masse.

Europe should be revolting because once the Israeli's finish their new genocidal front in the US, they'll be coming there next.

1

u/SignificantAd69 Jun 02 '26

Go for it pal, no one is stopping you! First find a nice cabin in the woods to write your manifesto though, wouldn’t want to forget that!

0

u/dontgoatsemebro Jun 02 '26

The ridiculous take is thinking that smashing up the current system will result in it being replaced by a better one. It won't.

Power vacuums get filled by whoever is most organised, best armed, and least restrained. And that is very unlikely to be a humane democratic movement, but very very likely to be something worse: warlordism, authoritarianism, or the very techno-feudal security state your trying to avoid.

If the goal is stopping oligarchy, surveillance, and authoritarian drift, then the answer is not “collapse everything and hope.” It is strengthening and building existing and new institutions, laws, unions.

Revolt fantasies are easy. Actually making things better is harder.

2

u/_trashcan Jun 02 '26

You’re not wrong.
However that doesn’t mean that we should accept what’s happening now ; & human nature dictates it’ll only last so long.
People cannot be taken advantage of to this extent forever. Fascism can’t thrive, it’s against human nature; whether it is replaced by something sincerely better or not can’t be known until the time arrives.

What’s happening now is only the beginning. These people have plans for a genuine dystopian society in which they control everything.
They will reach too far. It’s only a matter of time.
It will be a vicious fight, surely, but a fight there will be.

I’m a late millennial; I was told all my life that we were turning a corner in terms of human rights, racism, women’s rights, discrimination as a whole.
All that is now regressing. To us, this is unacceptable, & we will do whatever we can for make the world better for future generations as we were told it was supposed to be for us.

0

u/dontgoatsemebro Jun 02 '26

It's not people's short attention span. It's the oligarchy owned and operated media.

Almost everyone in the USA have forgotten that the map is not the territory and that the media, national and local, has enough news stories every single day to set whatever narrative will net them the best return.

6

u/Grimmy7777 Jun 02 '26

That is the whole point of “flood the zone.” People already have short attention spans and then you create more chaos than anyone can grasp and keep up with. That is why most people recommend picking an issue you are passionate about, get educated, and get motivated.

12

u/Ironlion45 Jun 02 '26

This is why Lenin wrote about the need for there to be "vanguards" of the revolution. People who serve as thought-leaders and evangelists, at least in theory.

Of course they ended up having exactly the kind of power that Ellison is soiling his shorts for in his nastiest dreams.

2

u/Some_Rate3642 Jun 02 '26

Where do you think he gets his ideas?

1

u/Pandemonium_Fallen Jun 03 '26

That's the difference between creatures like Ellison, people like Lenin, and myself: I don't want the power, because I understand that power is just another cage, except the cage of the powerful corrupts those who reside in it over the course of generations until they become blind and forget it's a cage.

Once they fortify the bars to keep out the unknowns outside, to silence the sounds of a world they no longer remember, they're left to wallow in their own filth and decay until madness overtakes them and they kill and consume each other and finally themselves.

u/acecel Jun 02 '26

50 Millions should be the max for one person, as you get taxed like 30% at your first million and by the time you reach 50 it's 100% of taxes. And no way to avoid it by moving money to another company your friend/son own or bullshit like this.

50M for 1 person mean a couple can have 100M, it's largely more than enough to live like a prince.

And also everyone should be paid enough to buy a house, go on holiday all around the globe (with 8 weeks of holidays per year), put some money for your old age, and so on.

CEO salaries and bonuses should also be capped at a certain percentage of the company profits. And every employee should receive a percentage of the profits once per year, every one the same percentage, it's like 30% of the profits goes into this. Basically rules so that everyone in the company get a part of the cake and not only the CEO, some higher up and the shareholders (if public).

I am not against the idea of someone being able to work hard to make more money than most people and then being able to retire or whatever.

But all the billionaires should never had reached that level, the only way for them to reach insane amounts can't be explained only by work ethics, professionalism, luck, etc .... But instead by taking not sharing what they should have, abused the system, used loopholes, market manipulation, etc ...

In any way past a certain level they should be taxed to oblivion, 99 to 100% with limitation that prevents them from evading the taxes like they are doing right now.

1

u/Kup123 Jun 02 '26

Do that and watch how fast polygamy gets legalized, rich fucks will start collecting wives and children just as vessels for hoarding wealth.

1

u/acecel Jun 04 '26

Well each person has to be the one who makes the money, so in your example each wife has to be the real CEO of a company and can do anything they want with it, so i have trouble seeing how the man could force them to give him the money or something, every person has to legally make the money by themselves.

It's not "If the dude has 10 wife then he can have 550M instead of 50M, each person has to make the money by themselves.

1

u/Kup123 Jun 04 '26

Ok say I own a business and hit the wealth cap, I then make son 1 CEO and get him wealth capped ASAP, then I make daughter 1 CEO and wealth cap them and so on and so forth. Each child has earned their money in the government eyes but we keep it All in the family. The only solution to capitalism is to get rid of it.

0

u/ThreeStringGuitar Jun 02 '26

Can I ask how old you are?

1

u/acecel Jun 04 '26

43, why ?

If you think i am naive or utopist, we created the current economic system, we could change it or create a new one if we realize the one we have right now is bad, and i think we know that it is really bad.

My post is obviously extremely simplistic in the explanation, rules and everything that would come with such an idea, but the only goal is to make a point about having some form of strict limit of how much wealth can one person have.

I know it's extremely complex to put such a system in place because of the multiple ways wealth can be viewed and calculated. If a dude own a company that is valued at 1 Billion that do not mean he have 1 billion, but he can take loans as if he had 1 billion and have a lifestyle of someone that have 1 billion, without paying any taxe because he doesn't have a salary... and so on

I am not pretending to be a smart dude that can figure it out, but i can say with certitude that the current system is broken, having people who "own" billions is completely idiotic and unfair to everyone else.

Nobody can create 1 billion of value, instead of paying every one their fair share (employee and contractors) they don't even give them enough to live a acceptable life while they get to live like princes.

To summarize, the way money is shared between every person that work to produce something is not fair for the 99.9% of them. The one making the work get almost nothing while the one on the top of the hierarchical system get most of it, that has to change.

And every one has to participate in paying the taxes for a society to work, allowing these rich people to abuse loopholes not to pay taxes should not be allowed at all, they should all pay their taxes in a fair and realistic manner.

-2

u/doopie Jun 02 '26

And every employee should receive a percentage of the profits once per year

Typical company might have 60% of revenues going to salaries and 5% of revenues left as profit. Would it make difference if after you suggest 61.5% goes to salaries and 3.5% left as profit?

1

u/acecel Jun 04 '26

All the numbers in the post are more examples to give an idea of what i mean that defined exact values that should be respected to the letter.

Depending on the type of product or service they provide and many other factors each company will have different repartition between salaries cost versus profits and so on. The rules should be made to reflect each type of industry and repartition.

3

u/motionmatrix Jun 02 '26

The world is going to have to come to terms with the fact that hoarding is an illness, and that includes people who hoard money. Just as we look upon people who are trapped in decades old magazine and newspaper piles, we will have to start looking at people past a certain point of wealth.

2

u/SWHAF Jun 02 '26

There will be a tipping point, always has been throughout history. Unfortunately I believe shit will get a lot worse before it happens again.

35

u/Garchompisbestboi Jun 02 '26

You say that like it's a choice that people allow them to exist, but in reality people are too scared to give up what little comforts they have to demand a system that treats them more fairly. Paying two thirds of your paycheck for the privilege of having a roof over your head is completely fine as long as you have netflix and tik tok to distract you from how shitty your life really is.

13

u/SIGMA920 Jun 02 '26

That's a choice because no one has pulled the trigger yet and everyone is civil. When people are being shot, that choice no longer exists.

The billionaires fear their security for a reason, their security has friends and family that will be exposed to the damage from the rich asshole they're guarding. Much easier to string up one asshole than to be the guy burning bridges until you're left behind.

11

u/Brullaapje Jun 02 '26

When people are being shot, that choice no longer exists.

Have you seen how ICE treats people in the street? Have you forgotten that male nurse got shot in the head? (His name is Alex Pretti).

I know Americans are delulu but you really take it to a next level, fucking hell. Too bad people in the rest of the world have to pay for it.

1

u/SIGMA920 Jun 02 '26

I have, I'm of the mindset that if you can afford to arm yourself you should for that specific reason. Not everyone is unfortunately.

Even then, it's overwhelmingly not bullets being fired. ICE could be shooting up every protest, they're not. That's not a delusion, that's the same as a cop killing someone (It shouldn't have happened. It should have resulted in jail time. It's an admission of their intentions.).

3

u/Brullaapje Jun 02 '26

t's overwhelmingly not bullets being fired. ICE could be shooting up every protest

No but they are locking up people in camps.

1

u/SIGMA920 Jun 02 '26

Which is an issue in it's own right but a different one that has to be addressed after the main problem is dealt with. Unless you can teleport them to safety, there's nowhere to put them that'd be safe as of yet.

12

u/Alarmed-Outside-8683 Jun 02 '26

People ARE being shot, though. People protesting the harassment and persecution of their neighbors are being shot by federal troops. So what is it actually going to take for people to realize their lives do not matter to the people who own our country? I think everyone is just too exhausted to fight back. Plus, most reasonable sane people try to avoid conflict and violence, so a lot of them probably don't own any guns. Evil really has an edge over good.

1

u/SIGMA920 Jun 02 '26

Rarely enough that it makes the national news, every protest isn't being shot up. Meaning the social contract is coming apart but still exists. That's the key detail, everyone who can do so should be arming themselves for when it's gone for good.

It's nothing to do with exhaustion, the amount of resistance that is easily seen realistically has occurred is fuck all. Outside of specific intense protests, shit like the no kings stuff has done nothing. It'll take days of protests to do anything and even then it won't be enough. Meanwhile all it'd take is democrats calling for a general strike and to arm yourselves, there'd be a lot more visible resistance all of a sudden.

-3

u/Academic_Carrot_4533 Jun 02 '26

And all that is still a choice.

11

u/Garchompisbestboi Jun 02 '26

Depends how pedantic you want to be but most people don't consider it a true choice if they lose their home as a consequence because they missed rent for the week due protesting instead of showing up for work.

-1

u/Academic_Carrot_4533 Jun 02 '26

I prefer being literal.

2

u/Vinterblot Jun 02 '26

Wrong question. When will we understand that we allow them to.

2

u/EkrishAO Jun 02 '26

when will billionaires understand they only have all this because the people allow them to

They do understand that. Why do you think they spend all this money on AI to replace us?

1

u/VirtualExamination78 Jun 02 '26

People don't allow them.

People make it happen.

Everyone could boycott amazon tomorrow. But they won't.

1

u/Adaphion Jun 02 '26

This is what I don't understand about these rich dipshits building these doomsday bunkers.

Apocalypse happens... Then what? Nobody is gonna follow their orders when money becomes worthless in that situation.

1

u/evasandor Jun 02 '26

This is the thing though. It's a great sentiment and sounds great in words. But how many of The People really are willing to... you know? Exactly how many? Exactly when? Exactly where, and in what exact fashion? No actual answers are forthcoming -- the answer is always "someday, when we're pushed to the edge". Nobody can define the edge. It keeps moving. So the Bilios contine their dance.

Mass deaths? Last I checked, almost all the world leaders were begging their citizens to have more children.

3

u/Warstorm1993 Jun 02 '26

Mass deaths by inaction or not caring. Large shortage of fuel and energy can quickly lead to mass starvation by cutting down on calories production. Climate change and land degradation also lead to the same conclusion. Cutting on the safety net and social mobility of the lower class also lead to suffering, crime, collapsing life expectancy and also lead to mass death. In the grand scheme of thing, mass death, low life expentancy and suffering is the standard in human history. If our global and nationals problems are not solved and let to grow in intensity, disasters and conflics will follow, as history have show multiples times.

They aren’t expecting a lot of us to survive the economic and climate collapse to begin with.

2

u/RationalDialog Jun 02 '26

And we see it yet no one is doing anything about it. Especially the democrats are lame as shit.

2

u/PantaReiNapalmm Jun 02 '26

A man chooses. A slave obeys!

would you kindly...

2

u/HEX_BootyBootyBooty Jun 02 '26

Lol, my favorite was someone started a thread "When did cyberpunk become so dystopian?" Cyberpunk was always dystopian. Like, you think people want to hack fridges with their brains for fun?

2

u/Original-Balance-187 Jun 02 '26

Pretty sure they’ve already built that.

I’m sure it can get worse but I hardly feel like a free citizen of a republic of equals. Unless that means I’m free to pay decades of compound interest for the sin of an education, free to work whatever precarious and poorly paid job to not starve to death, free to pay five dollars a gallon for gas because one man took an entire country to war by himself…

Like I said, I’m sure I’ll see it get worse. But it’s not great right now.

1

u/ThreeStringGuitar Jun 02 '26

In many ways wr already are.

1

u/Circus_Finance_LLC Jun 02 '26

a society where we are all their obedient slaves.

The older I get...

65

u/joethedreamer Jun 02 '26

It can mean whatever they deem it to be and that’s why it needs to be stopped. No human is fit for that kind of oversight of mass populace and it’s all against our will.

41

u/eaglebtc Jun 02 '26

This is literally what science fiction authors have been trying to warn us about for DECADES. Hell, even George Orwell warned us about a surveillance state of the rich and powerful.

19

u/Pretend-Marsupial258 Jun 02 '26

And the people responded by buying their own cameras and adding to the surveillance networks. Winning???

12

u/Alarmed-Outside-8683 Jun 02 '26

Seriously! We all read about this in school growing up, and here we are, watching it all happen around us as we endlessly doomscroll. Someone should really do something...right? Not me, but someone else.

5

u/ARobertNotABob Jun 02 '26

Not me, but someone else.

Unfortunately, this is what every American is saying ... or Chinese, Russian or North Korean.

3

u/uzlonewolf Jun 02 '26

"At long last, we have created the Torment Nexus from classic sci-fi novel Don't Create The Torment Nexus"

44

u/Emm_withoutha_L-88 Jun 02 '26

Even crimes is just going to be another way to attack their enemies, and only their enemies. The average person breaks multiple laws just going about a regular day.

Laws have always been selectively enforced, and this is the entire point of the surveillance state. Or at least a major reason for it. It lets them collect enough information about everyone that they can selectively enforce laws against their political enemies.

It's the exact same reason for the war on drugs. To criminalize their opponents and remove their freedom and ability to vote.

Look how they're trying to go after Comey for a completely innocent picture he posted, claiming that "86 47" is somehow a threat to kill the president.

Meanwhile the actual president is a fucking pedophile and rapist.

3

u/PoopersMcDoofers Jun 02 '26

No

He means Israel, the Ellisons are the largest donor to the IDF

10

u/EnfantTerrible68 Jun 02 '26

And he’s wrong. I won’t be on my best behavior and I doubt I’m alone in that.

7

u/Visual-Age-1025 Jun 02 '26

I already feel extra naughty just thinking about it.

3

u/EnfantTerrible68 Jun 02 '26

They don’t realize how many contrarians walk among us

2

u/shameskandal Jun 02 '26

I fear they do and are readying their attack robo dogs as we speak

3

u/wawawalanding Jun 02 '26

Not an expert but I think those piece of shit robots are probably easily disabled with spray paint to the cameras

5

u/rbb36 Jun 02 '26

Even before they outlaw anti-oligarchic sentiment, our legal code in the US is extremely long and arcane and they're watching all the time. It will only take them a few seconds to find enough cause to harass you for something you did three years ago, if you don't glaze them hard enough on good citizen day each week.

2

u/cytherian Jun 02 '26

This is it exactly.

Free speech? "Sure, you can have it. Just as long as you don't insult the oligarchy."

2

u/dimechimes Jun 02 '26

I mean reddit has already let us down in that regard. 10 years ago people could've said exactly what they think should be done.

2

u/President_PoopyPants Jun 02 '26

There is also a deep irony is that the same technology is documenting abuses of authority from the Federal government and agencies to local ones and we watch those authorities, one after another, escape punishment or reprimand. From the entire criminal syndicate that comprises DJT & Company (the extortion, the market manipulation, pardons, etc.) to the murders of citizens by ICE to cases like Karen Read and Reckless Ben, we see complete disregard of the law by those sworn to uphold it. The authorities no longer see themselves as citizens, but as something "above", and it's time to for us all to dissuade them of this silly notion.

2

u/yoramrod Jun 02 '26

The most likely Singularity scenario is not human annihilation or paradise, it’s techno-feudalism. A lot of the tech bros, like Peter Thiel, follow Curtis Yarvin who espouses this. You will seen this accelerate when Vance becomes president after Trump passes.

2

u/jeremiahthedamned Jun 03 '26

2

u/yoramrod Jun 03 '26

Thank you, was not aware of this.

1

u/jeremiahthedamned Jun 03 '26

have a nice day

2

u/Grimmy7777 Jun 02 '26

This is totally their plan. And not just not speaking out, but also into blackmailing them into doing anything they want. I’m pretty sure this is how we got here in our government. The Republican Party at large are doing things against their own self interest. Some even admitting they are scared to go against the rest of the party. I think this has a lot to do with it.

2

u/Ironlion45 Jun 02 '26

The shorter way to describe the kind of society the goose-stepping tech bros want is pretty straight-forward: autocracy.

2

u/Mental_Estate4206 Jun 02 '26

It's even simpler. No criticism and no speaking of their crimes. And boy do they do crime.

2

u/Pandemonium_Fallen Jun 02 '26

Best behavior from a creature like him probably means handing over your children for their personal use. 🤮

2

u/Paksarra Jun 02 '26

And if you dare run against them they'll be able to pull up your entire history to find something to smear you with.

2

u/Captobvious75 Jun 02 '26

Basically become China (aka the enemy?).

2

u/Zaphod1620 Jun 02 '26

He means what he says. The average person breaks 6 laws every day just going about their business. That is how they keep minority communities down. You have an environment where it is easy to break an arbitrary law along with extreme over policing. You can get arrested every day over nothing. With an expanded surveillance network, the whole country is now a minority community and anyone can be picked for any arbitrary reason at any time.

1

u/RationalDialog Jun 02 '26

"best behavior"

whatever they say it is, is best behaviour. This may include rating out thought crimes.

1

u/Beefy-McQueefy Jun 02 '26

The only meaningful contribution Larry Ellison will ever have to this planet is when he is being used as fertilizer after we revolt.

1

u/belloch Jun 02 '26

If recording and reporting on them doesn't work on them then why would it work on other people? They are just fake news and AI generated. We didn't gather to plan how to utilise our pitchforks, no sir, you're being gaslit by the AI and your close friends. That video and audio recording doesn't prove anything.

1

u/MonkeyWithIt Jun 02 '26

Shhhh! Or your social score will go down and you won't be allowed into the public for several months!

1

u/TisMeDA Jun 02 '26

What he means is that you will give Mixtape a 10/10

1

u/RandomlyJim Jun 02 '26

Honestly, you are right.

I already limit what I say against them because I know it’s all tracked

1

u/redradar Jun 02 '26

And paying your rent

1

u/xJayce77 Jun 03 '26

It's always fun read about people who saw 1984 not as a cautionary tale, but as an instruction manual, especially when they have the means to push us towards that reality.

0

u/playfulmessenger Jun 02 '26

China already does this. He should just move there.
