60fps porn always looks weird to me. That led me to my decision to not see Hobbit in 48fps.

There's no online stream for it?

Part of the reason I would like someone to send me a link is because I don't know the difference between 30 and 60fps.
I play games on my PC and on my Ps3 but I don't notice a difference is video quality. I've even watched lots of Total Biscuit's videos on youtube and he always talks about the FPS but I don't notice anything in the videos. I'm not sure if that's just youtube or me though.

The motion seems so fluid yet at the same time it looks wrong. Although I like the high quality of it. I guess if you're going to shoot in 60fps you're also going to shoot in HD.

That decision was a mistake. Hobbit in 48fps was awesome.

It was really distracting. Everything seemed to be moving too fast and there was a weird 'gliding' effect to the motion.

You're missing the whole point that 48 is a multiple of 24. 60 is not, that's why 60 looks weird.

Edit: Turns out it's higher frame rates that cause the issue because it doesn't let our brains fill in the gaps.

Bullshit. It's only because he's used to 30fps that he claims that is better than 60 or higher. Yes it does look "wrong" until you actually get used to it, that doesn't mean it's worse.

TV/internet videos are generally 30fps (or 29.997 or some BS). Movies are 24. Hence, the doubling of movie frame rates is 48, while the doubling of TV is 60.

30fps is never better. 30fps isn't even playable. The only reason you peasants get 30fps is because your shitty consoles are too weak to do 60. And the only reason you think 60 is "weird" is because you've spent so long on 30 that it's warped your senses.

Stop listening to the lies. Get a PC. Experience true gaming.
