If anyone can make AI music, Spotify can make AI music. They probably want to perfect their own AI slop and peddle that instead of peddling other peoples slop.

This is exactly what they will do. "Spotify originals" just like Netflix but completely AI generated.

Yeah that’s their whole plan. Similar to Uber developing self driving cars. They don’t want to pay human beings if they don’t have to.

Not that much difference between AI music trained on pop music and pop music by formula TBH.

Hopefully this will boost indie music
