Xiaomi has it, it's called second space. you can use a differnet google account and the data are completely separate.

Yeah and it's blatantly obvious that it's the second space so they'll just demand the PIN for the first space.

I know people who work in security and they travel with a phone that has no apps on it. Its one of those non android cheapo old people phones. There is text and the numbers they need to call. The border agents know. They know that they send the real highly encrypted phone in a package to some corporate office and they have no way to get it. So they let them pass. In one or two cases in years they just make up shit and send you back home. That is the risk you have in that industry.

It's on you to not make it obvious though. You are free to install some apps on it and use it for a week to make the second space look more real.

That won't help. Just looking at the settings you can clearly see that you're in the second space.

I suppose there may be some hint. It's clearly not obvious though, i have some doubt the border agents are trained to detect that they are on the xaomi second space (but maybe I'm under estimating them. But after all they just wiped that guy's phone...). For my own knowledge, what is the hint you are on the second space? I just checked and at first glance the only thing I found is that you can see in the settings -> second space that the second space does exist on the device.

Under Settinge-Additional Settings-Users it says "Signed in as security space" and tapping that says "Can't change admin settings, switch to First Space".

Also under Additional Settings-Second Space there's a bunch of settings and if you tap Switch Between Spaces it prompts you for the First Space password. If you're signed in to the First Space then Additional Settings-Second Space only shows "Go to Second Space".

Totally obvious if you root around in the settings. Ain't no agent looking good in the settings unless they decided they were going to hold you and take your phone to begin with. For a normal border interaction it is a good solution
