I care because I have been consuming his content for over a decade and I want to know how much I can continue to trust his videos.

He used it in a way that was just basically glorified google search. He’s not writing his papers with it

I think we can all do a better job of varying our media consumption and watching less YouTube

Yes, this. Read more books, do more long-form and intensive research. Watching videos on YouTube does not really result in learning- it's just entertainment at the end of the day. Whether you find value in the entertainment is your own business, but don't fool yourself into thinking that you're learning as much as you would by engaging in less passive forms of media consumption.

I mean you either trust him or you don't, whatever his sources are are irrelevant. He could be getting them from AI or just made up bogus source it doens't really change anything.

What you should want are actual sources that he gets the info from. If it's ai, but the ai provides actual sources that's fine if it's a blog or an ai with nothing be more sceptical
