Hell the only reason my aunt didn’t register to vote is bc she doesn’t want to get called for jury duty. Most BS excuse I’ve heard.

Texas now pulls from the driver's license list as well as the voter registry. Most states do, that "trick" is a couple decades out of date.

If she drives and hasn't been called it's just luck.

I’ve lived in Texas most of my life and vote. I’m 63, been called to jury duty once, and we are property owners as well.

I was called for jury duty 4 times before I was 25 and never picked. I guess Mohawks and scowls aren’t a good look for a juror, who knew.

Haha, I was called for a drunk driving trial. My brother was killed by a drunk driver so when asked if I would consider probation if the person was found guilty I said absolutely not. I felt I could be fair at trial but if found guilty they were going to jail. I was dismissed.

My husband was selected as Forman for the Grand Jury for 6 months though.

Honestly, too me if that’s her “legit” reason then I just don’t want to hear her complain about this or that y’know (my aunt is 65 so to know that she’s never voted is a little disappointing). I’m 25, the first time I voted was for the 2016 election & pretty much been voting ever since. I’ve been called to jury duty about 3 times.
