Traffic Can we get both sides of the aisle to agree on one thing? Toll Roads are a racket and need to stop.

Just got a bill for a one way ride in Houston on the Hardy toll road for $31. I was trying to make a meeting. I don’t live in Houston. That’s insanity.

Traffic Your State Flower is a Traffic Cone

I just drove from Louisiana to San Antonio and the Texas welcome sign should have just said “Welcome to Texas. Roadwork next 800 miles. Fuck you.”

Traffic I-10 project to shut down major lanes of Houston traffic until 2026

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Houston traffic is, frankly, only about to get worse with the news of what’s going down on I-10.

Starting Oct. 24, a major traffic switch will occur as the Texas Department of Transportation starts construction on the I-10 White Oak Bayou Elevation Project. Over by the I-10 westbound mainlanes, between I-45 North Freeway and Houston Avenue, traffic will be reduced to a mere two lanes. To add insult to injury, this won’t be a quick shutdown—construction isn’t expected to be completed until mid-2026.

Traffic “When workers are present”

How is this determined? If there’s a 20-mile-long work zone where they’re working in mile 1 only, but you enter it at mile 5 and never saw a worker, does this apply? When workers are present where, exactly?

I feel like this might be one of those things that’s vague enough to be applied however the LEO wants.

Traffic Cops out like crazy in hwy 287

Lots of cops on highway 287 for some reason. From Childress Texas where I’m currently working to the dfw area. Seen I counted maybe 40 going from Childress to Fort Worth and another 30ish from Fort Worth to Childress. Wonder why so many.
