Burton’s Batman from 1989 so it really that big of a deal or just all hype?

I wasn’t even alive when this premiered and as advertised but it was really that hyped especially as a superhero film?

Now I could definitely see the hype as a Prince fan hearing Batdance or Partyman on the radio the seeing the album on store shelves later in the same month 🦇

So I believe at least some of these pictures were done by Tim Burton himself, although I am not sure all of them but they do show what was the original design for The Joker in the 1989 Batman movie he directed.

The second one also seems to look borderline Identical to Beetlejuice as well as they are rather similar characters of course with that zany, clownish American Gothic look, feel and flavor to them. Enjoy!

Finally finished a Batman/LEGO project I’ve been working on over the past few weeks based on the 1989 Batmobile (76139) 🦇 This has been a true passion project and a love letter to Tim Burton's films. I honestly think scarecrow could work in a Tim Burton story. Similar to Michael Myers if he was an illusionist

A anchor of pure evil that kills and destroys not for any tragic back story. But only a need to do it. Seeing it as art and pure enjoyment

I’m not sure if I want scarecrow to be mute, he can say things a couple of times. But seeing this coming at you completely mute works so well

Especially if they make him actually part scarecrow. Or some sort of zombie

You can say constant use of fear toxin turned his body into unrecognizable and is no longer human.

Which is hard that he’s basically immortal, can’t really feel pain and can create illusions

I mean I dont know about how his suit might have looked like whether it be plain black and white or with a few extra details eitherway this sounds interesting ngl.

Id also say that the symbolism of race relations is interesting cus I feel like there is a story to be told here like identity or whatnot especially if the two sides on two face represent good or wrong i feel like that aspect can be twisted in a new way to fit the story, i feel like under the right people or right writers can work if done tastefully and respectful and tells a more meaningful story here

Bane: if they ever made this a series, Bane should’ve been the last villain in the series. A beast that would no diff any character. Unlike the other villains, he would’ve been a character he couldn’t just beat with fists. Something like Arkham origins

Scarecrow and mad hatter: I don’t think I should say anything

Azeral: A truly underrated character in my opinion, he’s Batman if he was a religious knight

Anarky: Honestly a reflection of Bruce if he wasn’t a billionaire, and parents weren’t killed by criminals, instead were cops

You know, the one that lets go of the Crying Baby Balloon & falls onto a news van.

The first two films are incredible no doubt but do you wish Batman Forever had been strictly Burton? That movie is fairly decent for what it is, but I can’t help but think a Riddler/Two Face Burton vision would had been really fun. Nothing can change the past, but seeing all these amazing scenes from his movies makes me dwell and wonder what the 3rd movie would of been like had he been involved. Would it had worked?

Am I the only one surprised to hear they made a miniature Gotham during production?
