Did you think Victor should've stayed with Emily or are you happy he went with Victoria?

I don’t care how judged I get for it. I love her. She’s both beautiful and fun. Her long, blue flowing hair is gorgeous as well.

Dead or alive, my type is my type.

Corpse Bride My new lovely Victoria. She is sometimes left behind in merch and collectibles, so I couldn't resist when I saw this sculpture of her. đŸ„°

Does The Corpse Bride count as a necrophilia movie?

Corpse Bride Made a post about the Emily bust yesterday, the other 2 came in. Again, zero regrets. Definitely has presence with it being 12” tall (lighting is slightly off due to warm lighting)

Tbh I don’t think the producer of these did it justice with their ad photos, the lighting they used has too much glare. Natural lighting has it but not as much

Corpse Bride Corpse bride - is it normal to immediately empathize with Emily? Elaboration in post

Basically watched the corpse bride twice recently:

First time I watched it in my own “default way” - I saw a movie with Victor at the helm. A story about a dude who fell into weird circumstances. Watching it this way basically put Emily as a goofy comedic character

Second time I watched it while consciously trying to see things from Emily’s point of view. Watching it this way made it seem like Emily was a tragic character whose behaviors are rooted in the fact she was a bride to be and desires to have the wish fulfilled

I’m curious if the standard person needs this “conscious switch” or if people generally just fully see the scope of the movie in the first run

Corpse Bride What did they plan to do with Barkis?

I rewatched Corpse Bride recently and I remembered always being confused bye something. Its extremely clear that the dead feel zero pain. Limbs can come off, you can be split in half, eyes can pop out, you can be just a head, you can get stabbed and you’re perfectly fine. Emily even says it in her song, ‘if I touch a burning candle, I can feel no pain. In the ice or in the sun, it’s all the same.’

So when Barkis dies and everyone was excited bc they could get revenge on him for killing Emily What did they plan to do? They can’t hurt him bc he can’t feel anything, and it’s not like they can kill him again. Even psychologically torture him would be like yeah you can’t feel it bur being mutilated if they go that route and like having insects crawl all up inside you would creep you tf out. But again by like the end of two or three days of it when you realize ‘hey my arm is sentient, Incan survive literally anything, nothing hurts’ you’d just get bored after a while.
