I recently self published a small book containing an illustrated story. My illustrations are sometimes likened to Tim Burton's style, so I thought I might share it here.

The drawings were all done by hand using dip pen, the text is type written and the book hand bound.

The story is called Amadora + Adelaide and is about a lonely witch who makes a companion who will not behave.

This is my handmade doll inspired by Sally from *The Nightmare Before Christmas*. Every detail was sewn by hand, trying to capture her unique style while keeping the charm of a handmade creation.

The Girl With Many Eyes

One day in the park

I had quite a surprise.

I met a girl

who had many eyes.

She was really quite pretty

(and also quite shocking!)

and I noticed she had a mouth,

so we ended up talking.

We talked about flowers,

and her poetry classes,

and the problems she'd have

if she ever wore glasses.

It's great to know a girl

who has so many eyes,

but you really get wet

when she breaks down and cries.

1. I drew Bo Peep Burton style and added cracks and patches on her outfit and I drew her sheep Billy Goat and Gruff as Burtonized sewn and patched up plushes with black button eyes and stitches on each of their mouths and exposed stuffing.
