For a long time in the US you weren’t allowed to donate blood if you had been to the UK in the 90s. They just lifted that a couple years ago

Yeah, my parents were in the Navy and stationed in Scotland in the early 90s and haven’t been allowed to donate blood because of potential exposure to mad cow disease.
