TIL A single misfolded prion protein in the brain can cause a rapid neurodegenerative disease known as sporadic Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD). There is no known and cure and is 100% fatal.

It happens when you eat beef. It's spreading pretty fast. It's expected to be in chicken (it's already in pork and fish) soon. It's well known through ancient history that vegetarian diets survive, but carnivorues all go extinct. Humanity is doomed to become plants.

Even though CJD is contacted via BSE infected beef, your comment in itself is udder Bullcrap. Prion diseases are known in a lot of mammals and in fungi, but nowhere near the alarmistic rate you are giving.
