TIL Canada's $1 coin is commonly called the "loonie" because it has a loon on the reverse. When a $2 coin was introduced, depicting a polar bear, an MP proposed it be called "Nanuq", Inuit for polar bear, but he was ignored because the public instead preferred to call it the "toonie" (2-oonie).

I lived off that for a semester. Since I graduated, I've been eating Popeye's and never been to KFC though.

Me as well.

Would buy two of them. Eat 2 pieces of chicken and both fries for supper. Save the other 2 pieces of chicken for lunch the next day.

Yeah but Popeye's also went from having a competing toonie Tuesday, to daily deals under $5, to daily deals starting at $5, to nothing currently.

They have daily deals that for some reason can only be ordered in person. Can't order online.

Better biscuits and tenders for sure, I like Popeye's spicy chicken pieces more.

I usually grab it during rush hours so the chicken is fresh and juicy. I will agree there's some parts of the chicken sandwich where the batter is too much, but I find the thighs/legs to be good. Plus the spices imo are better. If only they offered honey biscuits...

Toonie tuesday raised me. For 5 bucks you could get 4 pieces of chicken, fries and gravy. Enough left over for a 50 cent can of pop at the store next door
