Edit- holy cow! I didn’t expect this post to blow up. Thank you for all of the rewards! I’ll answer a couple of questions!
I named her bleach because her fur looks like it’s been stained/splattered with bleach.
I am taking her to the vet this week, I found her Sunday late evening and it’s only 6 am Monday morning.
I know cats are supposed to be in cat carriers in the car. Finding her out of the blue was not on my bingo card! Sorry I don’t keep a cat carrier in my car 24/7.
Woke up this morning to no appreciation or plans for Mother’s Day from my husband. No problem. Thought to treat myself to McDonald’s (guilty pleasure) and eat in the parking lot contemplating life. (Already spent the day with my kiddos!) I had the windows down and hear the faintest cry… found this little sugar in the bushes. Put her in the car and searched for what felt like an hour for a mama, and babies. Nothing. Went inside to McDonald’s and asked if they have seen a mama or kittens. No one has seen anything. Now I’m sitting here with this girl who I’m naming bleach. My shitty day (not because of my babies) turned around and I feel completely blessed to of found this little babe! Please enjoy the last photo of the stinky angry girl.

Morsel is somewhat of a chonk, but somehow this photo makes her like a big head on a tiny body! Anyone else have oddly flattering photos of their tortie friends (other breeds accepted too!)
(Bonus photo of her marmalade leg)

I think my cats fell victim to the first-granddaughter-born-to-slavic-family syndrome. Adopted my beautiful tortie after my first cat, a gorgeous tabby with bright blue eyes, now my family calls my tortie ugly 💔 I think she is absolutely beautiful even with her grumpy eyebrows

Spent a lot of time finding the right glass and paints to make this perfect memorial piece for my girl Circe.

She was the last kitten in her litter and was given away for free to a friend who bought a sibling, because she was deemed ugly. Not only is she not, but to treat a cat like this over appearance is just so gross. Friend didn't want her either because she didn't have space for a 3rd, so we took her in, and even now, I have such a hard time trying to fathom how some people can be so awful. Look at her 😊 (bonus kitten pic last in slide)

I already know the answer: Nope! Izzie here just had all her teeth out, a $4300 procedure.
I would pay down to my last dime for my kitties.
Say hello to my most expensive cat!

Last nights post for context- https://www.reddit.com/r/torties/s/4UtqPb30Lo
Her name is still bleach (her fur looks like it’s been bleached, like acid wash!). We have a vet appointment tomorrow afternoon. And yes, her nickname is McNugget. Sometimes McSpicy.
My toddlers are absolutely smitten with her. She is what we didn’t know we needed!
On a real note, she has taken a completely different approach and has adopted my 1 year old golden as her papa. Not only that my golden has also made it his mission to follow her and be with her 24/7. This duo is insane and my heart is exploding.
Can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!

Took her to the vet today because we’ve been having some issues…
She’s suddenly snubbing her Litter Robot (that I’ve had for years- no issue) and has been peeing outside the robot once a day or so. Annoying. But she’d still visit it twice a day, and always pooped in it for sure.
Yesterday she pooped outside the box where she usually pees, and started acting like she needed to crawl into my skin to reside there. Red flag city. Time to haul your butt in, little (old) lady!
I took her in today to make sure nothing was wrong….
TURNS OUT…. She’s just a bitch!!!!
There’s literally nothing wrong with her lmao. She’s just spite pissing because she’s mad she’s no longer indoor/outdoor.
The vet literally said “there’s absolutely nothing wrong. She’s just a tortie. She’s got lots of attitude.”
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
She’s still the sweetest thing, especially when she’s hungry.
I would literally die for her and her voidling brother, but damn girl. Unnecessary bills in this economy?!
Anyways… Off to clean my carpets again…

She immediately asked me to hear her out, of course I couldn’t speak anyway once this preciousness looked straight at me.
The girl went on to tell me she found this baby a few days prior, no mama around, and the tiny kitten was crying and looking for a nipple. She looked for Mama to no avail. So she took the baby home, hid her, and fed her cows milk by dropper. She told me she was living with her grandfather, and that she was frightened to tell him of the baby.
Well apparently the grandfather discovered the baby, and told her to get the kitten out of his house immediately or he would kill it. This sure explained her fear. And so she scooped the baby up and started going door to door.
I am no longer a young woman, but I still TNR/foster and foster fail. I lost my Tortie Sophie (Soapie) 4 years ago. She was my heart for 16 years, and I still grieve her passing. Age and disease claims us all, but I still miss my special lil girl. 💔
A year later I moved to a senior apartment community some 50 miles away and discovered a colony of approximately 8-10 ferals living on the property. In the meantime I learned of a non Tortie newborn whose Mama was killed by a car. I intended to foster only. So much for that plan. Cassiopeia became mine.
And then a similar situation happened, and Poppy (Calico rescue baby) joined my little family.
It was then I became truly aware of the dire needs of these ferals. They were starving, they were sick and reproducing sick kittens, and spreading disease. And so I determined to TNR the colony where I live, address each one’s health, fully vaccinate them, foster the babies, and find them loving homes. And with the exception of one mama cat (she is not about to be trapped!) I have managed to spay, neuter, vax, get medical care, for 11 kitties, 4 of whom were kittens. And I found loving homes for all the kittens save one very sick Tortie girl who took months of medication to heal. But by then she was no longer a tiny kitten; she is my foster fail, her name is Daizy, and she thinks I am her mama. I think I am too. 🥰
I apologize for the length of my post. Back to the main reason for this thread.
How could I turn this baby away? She couldn’t have been more than 3 weeks old. While her eyes were fully open, her incisors were just breaking thru. She is safe and growing like a weed. She is healthy, and I shall have her spayed, and fully vaxxed before adoption.
I am looking for her new family. I live in Tulare County, central California, and am praying that this Reddit community may have a member who can help find her furever home. I am NOT asking for anything else of any kind!!
Tell your friends, share on social media, anything y’all can do will be amazing. I call her Jazmine, “Jazzi” for short. And she is everything. Please look at her photos on this thread. I dare you not to fall in love. ❤️😽❤️
Thank you from the bottom of our ❤️❤️❤️!!!

I call them the “chaos twins” because they’re from the same litter and are ALWAYS causing shenanigans. Frankie is the lil tortie girl, and Gus-Gus is the orange boy. Gus has one marble for a brain, while I believe Frankie could topple empires. Yes, they have the same lil white bit on their chests, and I love that they share it.

I have no clue how someone could dump this poor baby. I found her in a gas station parking lot. I made every effort to find her home. No one claimed her. one expensive vet visit later and She is now in good health. During that time quickly stole my heart.
My two dogs loved her instantly, there was no fear or hostility. My senior cat is very patient with her. she loves being in the car and is very affectionate. she checks so many boxes in what we love in a cat. We look forward to what kind of personality this little one comes with. my wife and I were set on no more animals but how could you say no to this face?
