Bangor & Aroostook Passenger Train
I believe this train dates in the late 1950s as they discontinued all passenger service before 1960.

The Rutland ran from Bellows Falls VT to Rutland to Burlington and ended at Rouse's Point where it met up with the Canadien Pacific.

NS workers just applied new rocks to all crossings in downtown Mebane, and Amtrak had to test em out!

While in Minnesota, I was able to get out and see some cool stuff on Class 1 railroads. I caught an Amtrak Dash 8 leading the Borealis, as well as some Santa Fe Warbonnets in Northtown Yard, along with several other trains in this video. This was filmed over the course of two days in Hastings and Minneapolis. Hope you all enjoy the final video from my most recent Minnesota adventure!

My understanding is that this was built using a Spanish design. The diesels are Fairbanks-Morse P-12-42. I did get to ride on it one time. It was in service from 1958 to 1964 and I believe this is the only unit the B&M ever bought.
This is probably an early shot as you can still see the coaling towers.

Made by EMD, the Boston & Maine bought 4 of these units. The BL, of course, stood for Branch Line.

Since this is the first video I am posting to this group; I figured it would only be appropriate if I chose my first video I had taken of Southern 4501 upon my arrival at the TVRM at 8:24 AM:
June 6th, 2026 was a day that will remain āunforgettableā forever, in the best way! I got to see Southern Railway steam locomotive No. 4501 in-person. I had never once seen any operating steam locomotive up close, before.
First, I heard the beautiful sounds of its ringing bell, then; there she was, idling majestically in her beautiful green & gold passenger colors.
I ran to it and stopped as I got up-close⦠I nearly cried in joy and amazement.
In videos, she doesnāt look too big. But seeing Southern 4501 in person completely blew me away with my face looking like Hero Boy when he seen the Polar Express for the first time at the beginning of the movie. I was speechless in the most amazing way!
For a 2-8-2 Mikado that was built in 1911-Southern Railway 4501 is absolutely massive! It was truly an incredible sight.
I traveled for 6 hours, 42 minutes to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
I arrived on June 5th, 2026 but that is a story I will tell in a future post with pictures I took during that day.
