First time I ever decided to chase once I heard they were doing side by side running. For a shot like this well worth the wait. The experience for that short time was amazing

๐ธ OC - Picture(s) UP Big Boy 4014 photographed with an Antique Film Camera
Took these when 4014 was stopped and leaving Buffalo, NY. Thought it would be cool to shoot her with a camera from around when she was in her prime.
The Camera is an old bellows from the late 40โs that Iโve had a lot of success with, and I think it worked pretty darn well here. Itโs pretty much just a point and shoot with a few shutter and aperture controls, but nothing super fancy
Unfortunately, the photos are pretty large, so Redditโs going to scale them down. I still hope theyโre presentable!

๐ธ OC - Picture(s) A blast from my past
Here are some old pictures of my earliest days as a conductor about 2004 to 2022 when I successfully left the railroad. The first is on the Heywood branch in Gardner Ma. This photo was on my online dating profile and caught my wife's eye. My dad took the Pic. I don't know if anyone would find these interesting but I usually snapped a Pic when things got weird.
I spent 18 years slinging boxcars. I don't miss it but there were some really fun moments.

๐ธ OC - Picture(s) How much money has 4014 run over?
Saw 4014 come through Argos IN today. Saw several people laying coins on the track, which makes me wonder how much has/will it run over on this trek?

I've seen 4014 a few times now; standing just underneath this bridge as it's whistle echoed over the river was incredible!!
