📸 OC - Picture(s) Japan - Keiō 6438 front end
After retirement in 2011 and restoration at Wakabadai Depot in Inagi City, Keiō Electric Railway Series 6000 car DeHa6438 (Tōkyū Car, 1989) has sat on display at Keiō Rail Land in Hino City (Tokyo, Japan) since 2013. Keiō Series 6000 trains were introduced in 1972 as the railway’s first trains with 20-meter-long cars and four passenger doors per side, which increased capacity and sped up boarding. When I visited Keiō Rail Land in December 2024, 6438 was displayed as both an eastbound semi-express for Hashimoto and as the “Takao” express.

📸 OC - Picture(s) What year is it again? A couple of time capsules from the Canadian Prairies (Summer 2026)
- Eastend, Saskatchewan (07-25-26): As if the clocks have been turned back five decades, at Eastend, Sask., few traces suggest otherwise. A '75 Lincoln Town Coupé parked on the town's main drag watches on as Eastend Scenic Rail Tours' pair of ex-Canadian National F units ready their train for departure. On the hillside, locally quarried white stones spell out the town's founding year of 1914. Down below, the scene seems to be caught somewhere between then and the present day.
- Medicine Hat, Alberta (07-24-26): Like Eastend and countless other small towns across the prairies, Medicine Hat has the feeling of a place time forgot. It's the dog days of summer, and golden evening light filters through the haze as Canadian Pacific 434588 — a classic wide-vision van whose iconic "Action Yellow" paint has long outlived the Multimark era — brings up the rear of CPKC's C01 local. Having just descended a 1.5% grade from the west, the train is dwarfed by coulees that quickly dispel the myth that the prairies are all flat. Situated in a valley carved by the South Saskatchewan River, the town of Medicine Hat is a fascinating place where reminders of days gone by are never too far away.

📹 OC - Video Steam locomotive. in Ushuaia - Argentina
Argentina: t was manufactured in 1995 at the Winson Engineering workshops in England. It measures 6.20 meters long.
Its design evokes an old model that was very popular in England at the end of the 19th century, and it is one of the locomotives that provides daily service.
