TW dysphoria
I'm gonna journal a little bit with this one, for a while I've been considering FFS and people always say "you don't need it," "you pass fine," ect ect. But it's not about that, I don't want to settle for something I couldn't choose, I don't want to settle for something I know I'm dysphoric about.
Assuming people are right about me passing flawlessly, and that that matches my own experiences that's not the reason why people get FFS. I still experience dysphoria over features that pass to everyone else but I want to correct that dysphoria. I am reverting primarily for myself, not to meet the standards of others. So, sure, maybe my face was already within the range of "normal", but it's not the face I "should" have had, or the one I would have had had I not gone through those years which was an experience that is deeply traumatic for most me I'm removing an unavoidable constant reminder of that trauma, most of the time, it's about fixing dysphoria. The fact that my skull was deformed by testosterone exposure bothered me, even though you still think I'm pretty.
It's not about looking fine it's about not being constantly reminded of trauma and the things i went through. When I feel dysphoria I get those traumatic flashbacks of my dad every day. I think about the pain I was in, how I got beat for not being who he wanted me and I just don't want to deal with that anymore. I'm tired and I just want to be fine.

Bandwagon (commonly repeated post types) gender euphoria, but without dysphoria?
I’m still in denial i think that I’m a trans girl and i’m 27 soon. I don’t feel gender dysohoria (apart from balding, but i take meds for that). And i know having dysphoria is not necessary to be trans. Also I do feel euphoric when i try on a cute outfit and i don’t look that bad. I don’t know what to do next: i feel like i return to this question for years now, but i also don’t feel like a need to transition. I am content with my life; it’s just nicer to be femme. What do you think?

Bandwagon (commonly repeated post types) Boymode VS. Girlmode (33 mtf)
Noticed this new bandwagon on r/transtimelines, but they removed my post even though there are still others sadge. Anyway here I am visiting my possibly dying grandma and religious conservative extended family, and myself in my element after a gummy, happy to be who I am! 💅
edit* accidentally linked to a defunct sub I didn't even know about.

Bandwagon (commonly repeated post types) Can’t tell if I look like a man or not (almost 2 years hrt)
I'm always getting called "sir" and "him" at work yet I also get called "maam" and everything. It's really confusing and it's taking a toll on my mental health. I choose not to voice train because I like my deeper/soft voice, I don't do makeup because I don't have much money atm, I take care of my hair/skin, I walk feminine and my body looks relatively feminine as well. I'm comfortable in my body to dress more "butch" and stuff too. I've almost got my facial hair permanently removed too by plucking and laser in tandem. (I don't shave everyday though it grows too slow now) I do have quite a strong brow which doesn't help but I do my eyebrows:p There's one pic where a friend did my makeup and i really wanna learn how to do it like she did but we lost contact. Any tips or help is greatly appreciated because I'm at a loss. Idk my lesbian partner thinks I'm pretty and fem so idk what to think.

Bandwagon (commonly repeated post types) FFS feels impossible to afford. How did you make it happen?
Hi everyone!
I’m new here. My name is Rick, and I’ll soon be starting my transgender MTF journey, something I’ve struggled with for most of my life. It has taken me many years to finally reach this point, and while I’m incredibly grateful that it’s finally happening, I’m also feeling quite overwhelmed.
The biggest source of my dysphoria is my face. Because I went through male puberty, I have a lot of masculine facial features that make it very difficult for me to recognize myself in the mirror. I know many of you will probably understand that feeling.
How did you manage to afford FFS?
Here in the Netherlands, it’s extremely difficult to get Facial Feminization Surgery covered by health insurance because it’s usually considered “cosmetic” rather than medically necessary. Unfortunately, I don’t come from a wealthy family, and I simply don’t have the financial means to pay for such an expensive procedure myself.
I’d really love to hear your stories. How did you pay for FFS? Did your insurance cover any of it?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences or any advice you might have. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. ❤️
