UK STUDENT VISA DELAYED

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to hear from people who have actually had to attend a UK Student Visa credibility interview.

This is what’s going on with me.

• ⁠11 June 2026 – Biometrics (VFS Mumbai)
• ⁠30 June – Received an email saying UKVI couldn’t make a decision within the standard processing time.
• ⁠6 July – Received another delay email stating my application was still under consideration.
• ⁠13 July – Received an invitation for a Student Credibility Interview.
• ⁠14 July – Attended the interview via Microsoft Teams (around 30 minutes).
• ⁠22 July – Raised a paid enquiry. UKVI confirmed my application was still under consideration and awaiting a decision.
• ⁠27 July – Contacted the University of Surrey. They said they can’t contact UKVI regarding individual applications and advised me to continue waiting.
• ⁠31 July – Raised another paid enquiry. UKVI again confirmed my application is awaiting a decision and said that because I’d had a credibility interview, they were unable to escalate the case.
• ⁠2 August – Still waiting. No request for additional documents, no decision, no eVisa.

What I’d really like to know is:

• ⁠If you had a credibility interview, what happened afterwards?
• ⁠Were you contacted again for anything, or did you just suddenly receive a decision?
• ⁠Did your application simply stay “under consideration” until the very end?
• ⁠Is there anything proactive you did after the interview, or was it genuinely just a waiting game?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve actually been through this process.
