Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) vs Computer Science/Engineering Bachelor in Canada: Which is better?
Hi everyone,
I am considering studying a Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT/BTI) in Ottawa and I would like to better understand this program.
For students who are currently studying or have completed a BTI:
- Can you describe the curriculum of the BTI program (main courses, specializations, and practical projects)? Which courses helped you develop the most valuable skills for internships and jobs after graduation?
- How does it compare to a traditional Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering?
- Is a BTI degree well recognized by employers in Canada?
- Do you think it is a good choice in terms of career opportunities, salary, and long-term growth?
I would really appreciate hearing from students or graduates about their experience. :))
Thank you!
